I popped in for a quick breakfast but there was not a person in sight to assist me upon arrival! All the waiters where standing at the counter with their backs to the door, avoiding us! We got seated inside , close to the area where theres computers and had to listen to a waitress and managenent argue about work... More

Stopped in for a quick early dinner, and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, my burger was excellent, with a unique combination of flavors. The atmosphere outside was bustling, a very cafe sort of environment. Don't expect a quiet sit-down restaurant, but for a casual dinner with some good food specialties, it is a perfect stop.

We have been going to Java for at least 10 years, and keep going back. Good food right through the menu, and we have tried most things! Nice wine selection. A wonderful ambiance outside, especially in the spring/summer/autumn. Fun student service. Stunning value! I recommend it to everyone who wants a relaxing meal at any time of the day in... More

definitely one of the best places in Stellenbosch for a good lunch of dinner. You sit outside on the terrace and see the whole town pass by. Good hearty food and drinks and nu fuzz. It can take for ages before your drinks arrive because they have a very interesting and refined system of processing orders :). The waiters are... More

Have never tasted such bland and overcooked pasta ever. Not even the sauce could fix it. To top that the service was seriously bad and waiters kept on avoiding eye contact when trying to get some service. Upon complaining about the food no one even bothered to do something about it, I suspect they are so use to complaints, that... More

We stopped here for a late lunch on a lazy sunday afternoon. I ordered a crumbed chicken burger and my partner had a classic beef. When the order arrived we were so happy. Nice bread, juicy and delicious fillings and patties, and amazing wedge and onion rings for side. Yum! And the beer was ice-cold which is always a super... More

Best cuppacino in Stellenbosch with a nice street cafe ambiance and vibe. Service is attentive and food good.

We went there to get some food for dinner. Unfortunately it was very loud in there and the restaurant was very busy. If you just want to go there and go out afterwards it seems to be a quite nice place. The food was really good though, but just don't expect to much. You get more like snacks, burgers or... More

Always busy with lots of foreigners the atmosphere is not too bad. There is just something missing. The waitress was not very friendly and she did get our orders wrong, she also never came back to check on us. The savanah was warm and the food was mediocre. The chicken burger was extremely dry. Although the presentation of the food... More
