Nederburg presents the restaurant, The Red Table, situated in its iconic manor house, a national monument. It has been passionately created in collaboration with well-known Cape Town foodie, Andrea Foulkes, and offers locally-sourced, fresh food in a comfortable and historic atmosphere. The accent is on tasty, simple but superb eating with flavours to match the award-winning range of Nederburg wines. Signature favourites include the duo of lamb, venison burger, fillet steak and pork belly. During the summer months, the restaurant spills out onto the terrace and sprawling gardens against the backdrop of vineyards and the towering Drakenstein mountains. In the fragrant and lush gardens surrounding the manor house, you'll find leisurely spots in the cool shade of the age-old trees you can enjoy fare created to complement Nederburg's delicious wines. With fireplaces ablaze during the winter months, the plush and comfortable interior of the manor house is the perfect setting for leisurely meals shared with family and friends when chilly outside.

Nederburg Wine Estate is both historic and has a high profile. We had however never been to their restaurant, which we had read about on its opening but not much feedback since then. It is not a fine dining venue, and fairly quiet when we were there, but a very welcoming, friendly manager (who took our booking on the phone),... More

We had a wonderful lunch at the Red Table - lovely decor, fantastic views and great service. They have a very varied menu and the food was very fresh and very delicious. Perfect spot for a family lunch.

I had yellow tail as a main dish. This is the first time I have had such a succulent and moist piece of yellow tail. I could not help wondering if it had been steamed first. However, the skin was beautifully crisp. It was served with a cauliflower purée and lightly steamed vegetables that complemented the dish very well. The... More

We stopped at this restaurant after our cheese and wine pairing for lunch. It is the most beautiful place I have been too. The gardens and vineyards that make up the view are picturesque, the old manor house is captivating. The service was excellent as well and we really enjoyed our food. If ever in the western Cape again, will... More

Was for lunch last week and had a kudu burger. I enjoyed it with the homemade bun. Lovely venue with beautiful views. Did the whole wine tour, a must if you visit Paarl.

Having completed the wine tasting, we then went to the Red Table restaurant for light lunch. Located in the main old building which is fascinating in itself. In the gardens, just so picturesque it's unbelievable. Good recommendations from the waitress for lunch, and some good wines (of course!) to go with it.

When we booked a table at The Red Table, we expected a bistro type of restaurant, but it is quite a classic restaurant, set in the old manor house of the Nederburg wine estate, with high ceilings and lots of antiques. The food was good but did not have a wow effect for us. The service was excellent. It was... More

My wife and I had lunch there on a cold winter's day. The setting is absolutely fabulous. However, the main course was average and my trio of ice cream desserts were just frozen desserts from Dairy Maid. One would expect home-made desserts at the very least. Very disappointing. Expected far more. Will not return. Kenneth & Petra Fisher.

Think Cape Dutch homestead, baby grand piano, white tablecloths, fireplace, good service and a special 3-course dinner on Friday nights, inclusive of 2 generous glasses of wine. We will make this a regular Friday night treat!
