This was a lovely place to have something to eat and drink during our stay at the Belvidere Manor. The service and food was good.

The beautiful grounds of Belvidere Manor Hotel are reason enough for the detour. And the Bell Pub in centre stage surrounded by the charming white washed cottages that form the rooms of the main hotel. The food is good. Generous portions and consistent quality. Try the Cobb Salad or the burger (large succulent homemade tasty patties) or the Durban Lamb... More

Excellent meal, food was exceeded by Jeff serving us! Livers, bobotie & chicken pie all superb. Beautiful garden. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

We've been to The Bell a couple of times... once on New Year's Day when it was packed, once during the off season when we were the only people there. On both occasions, the food took a LONG time to arrive. Over 2 hours in the first case, and over an hour in the second. That said, the meals were... More

Had their chicken & mushroom pie and their bangers and mash, both were amazing and very well priced. Lots of history behind the pub too. Lookout for the underground cellar...

Food and service were brilliant. Value for money. Arrive early to avoid disappointment. Why the silent TV screen when nobody was watching it??

Dating back to 1834, The Bell Pub is quaint and charming, with both indoor seating as well as seating in the gardens. Situated in the grounds of Belvidere Manor, where there are magnificent views of the Knysna Lagoon, this little find was a treasure! Pub grub served in generous helpings, and truly delicious. Their calamari was exceptional ! From listening... More

Friends told us to try this pub for it's unique character. We discovered a pub with a truly English atmosphere in the grounds of Belvidere Manor; a National Monument home with delightful guest cottages around the extensive garden with spectacular views over the Knysna lagoon. We plan to come back and spend a day or two here in the future.... More

This is a jewel of a location. Situated at the far end of Knysna lagoon on a private estate. It is quiet and has the atmosphere of an old English pub. We have dined there several times and have not been disappointed. Food is plain, but well prepared. Will certainly return in the near future.
