Great service, friendly staff and the best oysters on the Garden Route! Great place to enjoy sundowners too.
We ate at this restaurant twice in the last year. Both times, we enjoyed the food. I especially enjoyed the prawns and hubby really enjoyed the fish and chips. Our son ate the fish cakes which had an interesting shape. They have lots of great specials there. One of those specials was the oysters, which we ordered as starters. It... More
I agree with the comments of pzan : such a lovely position for a lousy atmosphère. Very disappointed by the quality of the food. Oysters quoted as among the best in the world, had absolutely no taste. My wife took 12 oysters ordered in 2 times. On the bill, they count 2 x 6 oysters which is more expensive than... More
Quay Four have a special Pensioner's Menu which is on offer 7 days of the week! Very friendly staff and nice location. There were 4 of us: 3 had very good meals but unfortunately the one who ordered Lasagne was not happy. It looked totally unappetising and instead of the usual tomato sauce the mince was in a cream sauce!... More
The restaurant has a pub feel to it, with live entertainment and average service. Went for the offered tour of Oysters and were told to check back at 2pm and the tour guide would let us know what was happening on that day. So instead of leaving decided to sit and have a coffee and something sweet as it was... More
The owner choose here the wrong restaurant theme. In such lovely position a more upmarket restaurant would do nicely, but it is a ordinary pub with the food quality you expect from a pub. Atmosphere lousy as mostly empty and the plastic chairs don't add to it. service is good and prompt, but to cook a good steak has to... More
Although it can be quiet in off season, Quay Four always offers possibly the best fish and chips anywhere! A beautiful location. The staff are helpful and friendly and the menu is tasty. We especially enjoyed the mussels in a white wine sauce. Highly recommended!
How can you visit Knysna and not have oysters. Surprisingly the restaurant was quite empty but it was a miserable day. Service asnd staff were good. We went specifically for the oysters and shared a platter of them with the wife. Nothing to really write home about but still enjoyed the time there
A really great restaurant with good choices and varied menue. Well worth a visit if you enjoy general "Pub and grub" style food. Oh, forgot to mention the fantastic view of the Knysna Lagoon and the "Heads" leading out to the sea. Couldn't get better!
Waited over an hour for our food, waitress(Tabisa) completely missing in action. Battled to get her attention to be served. Wanted to order more food but gave up and left.
