It was our day off from our little restaurant in a different village in the Overburg and we wanted to have the gasto experience we also seek to deliver. Mogg's kitchen hit the spot on all counts. Service, atmosphere, presentation and food all excellent. Well done guys. We will definitely be back and confidently recommend to others. It is without... More

I have had lunch at Moggs several times over the last eighteen months, in very different contexts - a large family group that included several small children under five years of age, a small group with friends, and a large group of friends and acquaintances. On every occasion the experience was a huge pleasure. The food is superb - absolutely... More

We were stunned at the beauty of the food here at Mogg's. Not at all what we were expecting to find - in the most positive way! Ambience: absolutely relaxed and beautiful and cozy. fire burning, pinecones overhead, chickens running about, mountains in view. Food was delightful, well priced and drinks were served in carafes, the house wine was perfect... More

Off the beaten track farm like setting, simple decor and an interesting and unusual menu. Service was excellent, good wine list from the area . Food quality was very good and the value for money was worth the visit on it's own. Definitely a recommendation if in the area

We had lunch there yesterday (11 pax); I had the venison and oxtail pie (delicious) with al dente vegetables. The others had pork belly (yes there was crackling too). The chocolate pudding served in a tea cup with ice-cream was .... memorable Excellent food, what a lovely place to have a restaurant.

We were there on a very blustery and rainy day. It was so cosy inside we did not want to leave. The menu is small but provides for all tastes, perfect. The drinks selection is very good and they also have a few craft beers which is great. We all had three courses and loved them all! The salads were... More

It's the sort of restaurant where you feel instantly at home. The family dogs are wandering around, the cottage with its charming low ceilings gives no indication of the unbelievably good food that is to come, especially as you have to walk past the tiny kitchen to get to your table. The guests seated outside must have had the most... More

Was, for years one of my favourite venues in the World , but due to circumstances and life changes , had not been for some years, until last month. Took some London friends, who have a house in the area, they, had often heard me, rave about it, so it was time to head for the hills of the Hemel and... More

Booked for family lunch with friends while visiting Hermanus during the holidays. We planned to go for an hour and 4 hours later we were still having a blast. The home away from home is completely child friendly, dogs wonder about and on a sunny day there is no need to rush. There view is magnificent and the food, another... More

The wind howled as we sat tucked next to a roaring fireplace. The mood is laid back with a great selection of music. The food is delicious! Fine flavours that we're so good I couldn't resist cleaning every last morsel off my plate. We settled on 2 starters each and shared a pudding and a bottle of wine - with... More
