Enjoyable atmosphere, good quality food

We visit Jonkershuis on the last day of our annual visit to Cape Town each year. That's mainly because the setting is superb in the evening - you can sit in the open air (if you don't want to be inside) looking out towards the twinkling lights of Muizerberg and False Bay - t really is quite a... read more

Very good food in a lovely place with a view in the wineyards. Very kind staff and the food was sooooo good! We also went for a winetasting from the constantia wine, very good impression, very good guide!

Really disappointed in the service and rude staff. Especially the hostess who was a young snotty lady.

We've been coming here for the past 12 years, as we escape the northern winter for a few months in Constantia. Most times we come for a late breakfast, the rest for lunch - where the Bobotie is so delicious. Breakfast under the ancient oak trees, in front of a lovely Cape Dutch homestead, just cannot be beaten. Fantastic location,... More

Everything about this restaurant is professional and well rehearsed. The service is unobtrusive but attentive. The Maitre D efficient and there when you need her. We had dinner there last night. The food arrived swiftly but not too swiftly. I had to send my risotto back due to (for my palate) over salting but it was replaced promptly with no... More

We stopped here on a tour of the Constantia vineyards. We hadn't booked, which can be a problem, but in this occasion they found us a table for two outside overlooking the fields of rows of vines in the fresh air and, fortunately, in the shade. There were tables inside with white table cloths but we chose outside to enjoy... More

Lovely casual cafe style seating under wide umbrellas. Attentive and helpful wait staff. Great burgers. Spice laden bobotie. Tender beef filet. Lovely wines. Busy venue with families with little kids, dogs. If you are looking for a serene experience this is not the place. We had a very enjoyable afternoon lunch.

We tried 2 Cape Malay dishes a vegetarian curry and a bobotie. Both were well executed. Service was above average. I would recommend both the winery and the restaurant.

With a "street cafe" like feel set against the backdrop of beautiful vineyards, the experience was fantastic. The waiter was friendly, fast and explained the dishes on the menu very well. His recommended dish of Yellowtail was spot on. Well prepared fresh fish with fresh vegetables and tastefully presented. My German guests were impressed and it was a great kick... More
