I have been a few times to this restaurant, however on this occasion I went with my mother for my birthday lunch. Needless to say it was amazing, the wine selection is superb. The service was impeccable, from running through the specials with us to topping up our wine. The meal was delicious, I had the line fish of the... More

Booked her for Fathers Day.. Restaurant was full. Service was excellent and food reasonable value. Dessert was excellent. Did not have to wait considering the large number of patrons. Was delighted to see the biggest Great Dane I have ever seen on the way out of Groot Constantia, finished off a good day.

Stopped of at Jonkershuis on my explorations of the Constantia wine valley and was pleasantly surprised, was greeted in a friendly manner and had a table out in their little courtyard area. Nice easy menu with good coffee. Tad more expensive than the usual but well worth it. Will be back! Thanks guys

better than a great place to eat is a great setting and view. When you get seated, one can feel the grandeur of the establishment. The food and service was great, the green lawns made a relaxing resting spot and disappointed that we did not make a lunch booking as it seemed a perfect place to spend more hours and... More

The oldest working wine farm in Cape Town so lots of history and an old tradition of fine wine, good food and down to earth friendly Cape Town service. Went for lunch with my friend after a lovely wine tasting and had lunch seated outside under the old oak trees. What a treat! Lovely food very well prepared and presented... More

On election day we went to have lunch at the Jonkershuis. What a great place overlooking the Constantia Valley and False Bay. The service was friendly and efficient and the recommendations from our waiter spot on. The wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. The Bobotie was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the day's special Dorado Veronique. we'll be back... More

We ate at the restaurant after doing a tour of the wine cellars at Groot Constantia, South Africa's oldest vineyard. The setting is magnificent. You dine under the giant oak trees planted hundreds of years ago, alongside the white-washed splendour of the Cape Dutch gables. The service was fast and friendly and the food as good as when we first... More

When the sun is shining, sit outside. When its cold, sit next to the log fire inside. The food is always excellent, the service good, though some of the longer standing waiters can be a bit officious - but not enough to put us off. wander around the museum and the old buildings, feed the ducks, go wine tasting. We... More
