I enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebratory evening at The Greenhouse. Having had the good fortune of dining in some of the best Michelin starred restaurants around the world, I could frankly rate this as one of the best I have EVER had. While often one can be picky about one or two things from the dining experience in some establishments,... More

The restaurant is gorgeous, very tastefully done. We went for the African Origins Tasting Menu (about 10 courses I think) and the food was very very good. The perlemoen course really sticks to mind - amazing! Loved the little touches like the 'cocktails' at the end - sweets done in cocktail flavours. Service was excellent. The tasting menu takes about... More

Had a celebration here for my wife's birthday. We had a drink in the ocktail bar which we felt had a nicer feel to it than the Greenhouse. The Greenhouse is nice, but feels slightly crampt and a little tired in places. This is where the negatives end. The food was imaginative, flavoursome and excellent. They managed my wifes allergies... More

We had a very nice and special dinner here last night. The food was outstanding, very fine dining but still recognisable tastes and ingredients. Also not too fancy, a problem a lot of South African chefs have nowadays. This chef stays with classy, good pairing combination, and sometimes a little joke or more sophisticated dish. But never too much. It... More

The Greenhouse is a perfectly beautiful restaurant. Everything is done to the highest standards and the food is exquisite. But it's definitely a special occasion place -- very expensive but worth it.

I have eaten in many fine dining restaurants and had many different tasting menus but this place really is the best. I thoroughly enjoyed every single one of the courses on the African menu-I couldn't pick a favourite but the beer pretzels and chip was certainly the most surprising. Highly recommend for the food and the setting is also very... More

What a wonderful location in a park like surounding. Not only because beeing in testkitchen the evening before, I must say that the quality was unfortunatly only average to good for a restaurant with such a standing. The Service was always good and friendly though.

we were staying at the hotel, and were able to secure a table for our last day, Dec. 23! The African menu, with matching wines, is a pure pleasure, and the very discrete and attentive service made this evening a very special one. Would this place be closer from home, we would be regular customers...

We started with cocktails at Martini in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel bar before moving down to the Greenhouse. The ambience in the Greenhouse was perfect elegant, relaxed and easy. The restaurant has a clear South African identity, celebrating local food and wine! The staff were exceptional! Helpful, charming, funny and fun without losing the sophistication of the environment.... More

Wonderful experience, fabulous food, fabulous staff, attentive but not overbearing. Fantastic food and wine, one of our finest fine dining experiences ever. Just such a pity it's a 12hour flight away. Can't recommend enough....hopefully we will be back one day
