Been here twice now, both times for lunch, the vibe and service is good but the food is no better than average. It was however cheaper than I expected given the name "beluga" which conjures up very high prices. You can also BYO wine for a surprisingly modest corkage fee which is a big plus for me. Street parking is... More

Enjoyed our meal very much. Very popular, busy with good atmosphere. Tables a bit close to each other making it difficult to hear conversations at your table! Slick service if a bit hurried. Definitely a buzzing spot to people watch.

I had a business lunch here on a recent trip to Cape Town. We were looking for a relaxed atmosphere with good food and that is exactly what we found. Their salads and dumplings, along with a wonderful bottle of wine made for a great lunch. Might suggest to try keep back of house noise levels lower; telephone ringing loudly,... More

I was looking forward to the Beluga experienced, having heard a lot of hype. In the end we had an enjoyable evening but I was somewhat dissapointed. Wine overpriced and wine list limited, also left out triple sec from my marguerita and had to ask for it. Ordered tempura prawns but they came breadcrumbed- that is NOT tempura!! Went to... More

Great atmosphere! The bread for appetiser is a absolute treat. Sushi (blue plate) was sO gOod! And Vincent, our waiter, is an asset to the restaurant! Will def see us again.

Located in an old foundry, this restaurant has been nicely designed and conveys a 'happening place' atmosphere with lots of young professionals enjoying themselves after work. We had reservations made by our hotel and were seated and greated promptly. After ordering our wine, it took quite a while to order appetizers and dinner. In the meantime, we were greated by... More

Very trendy restaurant. With a great selection of food and wine! I recommend the dim sun, absolutely fantastic and great value. Go on a Sunday for half price sushi, dim sun and cocktails!

Went with a group of five. I started with Thai prawns which I found disappointing. My pepper crusted filet came out cold. I flagged down a waiter, and he gracefully took it back. They reserved a new entree which was warm. The manager stopped by to inquire. One person in our party ordered sushi. She had a spicy salmon roll... More
