Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.

Birthday meal

Wonderful staff fantastic food. Lovely surprise birthday meal from my husband. Unfortunately after a day travelling around vineyards this beautiful meal was wasted on me , Just means I will have to go back to Capetown to do it all again :-)

Savoy Cabbage made it on my list for eats in Cape Town on my last visit due to a lot of raving reviews online. Sadly I was a little disappointed, as the food was mediocre and the service rushed. I might have been unlucky that particular day, but I will not be going back given all the other excellent restaurants... More

Our young waiter knew all about the eclectic menu and gave us perfect advice for our food and wine. His assistants were all professional, friendly, and a delight to interact with.

The restaurant is in the Bo-Kapp region of Cape Town down a side street with a fairly inconspicuous entrance but that's not what you're there for. The service was very good and the menu varied with selections of fish and game (springbok, Kudu etc.). I had the local mussels as a starter and they were quite the best I've had.... More

My wife & I had dinner here on our first night in Cape Town and it was delicious. The starters were out of this world and our main courses were outstanding. My wife had the steak, of which i believe only 5 orders were available as it was a special, and it was the best she had ever tatsed and... More

A must when in capetown. This fine dining establishment is housed in a lovely old rennovated two storey building in central ct. The chef only uses local organic food, so the menu changes regularly as it accomodates whats in season. Dishes are unusual and creative, yet without being fussy or over the top. Here you can find true african game... More

This was our choice for our first dinner in Cape Town, with our hotel supporting our decision, and making us a last-minute reservation for five. The room was impressive, but service was slow. We were surprised to see impala and zebra on the menu, but I ordered a hard to find dish, sweetbreads, and had a most generous serving! My... More

Enjoyed our first night in town dinning at Savoy Cabbage. Great way to start a vacation! We followed recommendations by the waiter, including delicious lamb dish and vegetarian platter after reviewing a menu with multiple hard choices to make. Had the opportunity to taste the South African Pinotage which left us begging for more... Intimate setting, quiet , modern. Great... More

Inside a converted and renovated commercial space this hip and trendy restaurant serves up delicious food. Reminded me of a place in NYC--exposed brick walls and high ceilings. Great food.
