Stopped by Savoy Cabbage after an auction at Rudd's Auctioneers just around the corner. I had a wonderful lunch from start to finish -- the tomato tart starter was prepared fresh to order, and had wonderful tomatoes, great crust and sat on a lovely bed of accompanying greens. My server, Ellen, was a great advisor on the menu, and offered... More

Found this to be a very enjoyable dining experience. Interior is cool, a bit offbeat and the vibe is really capetownian in a way. We both had four courses and werent dissapointed, while the service was prompt and hospitable throughout the evening. Would recommend and most certainly return.

Booked here for first time due to trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed. Food was excellent, good service and great location in an old warehouse, central Cape Town. Maybe lacking a bit of atmosphere and could do with a bit more customer interaction with front of house. Clearly the focus is on the food. Worth visiting,

We went twice to the Savoy Cabbage and both times we were extremely pleased with the service and the food. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive but not exceedingly so, the wine list is very good and the food preparation and presentation were excellent. A wonderful dining experience indeed! We shall be back.

After reading the great reviews here, we thought we were in for a real treat when we chose this restaurant for our last evening meal in South Africa. The interior is impressive and the service was very good. Our waitress was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. However, we thought that the food - particularly the mains - just wasn't particularly special.... More

I loved, LOVED, loved the tomato tart, every article written about it is right, hands down best tomato tart ever. That said, the other starters where just good however the main dishes were quite disappointing, so yeah id go back for the tart no questions asked, everything else, well, not really

What a fantastic evening out. The service was fantastic. Attentive but not over the top. The food was tasty and salad greens fresh. Starters of salmon and beetroot salad were out of this world. Followed by pork loin and lamb loin main course. How do the get the lamb to be so tender it almost melts in your mouth? This... More

Big on atmosphere with an excellent wine list including a 1st class selection of dessert wines to accompany the final course. Lots of choice which would seem to cater for all tastes and not difficult to see why table bookings are at a premium. All dishes we had were excellent and well presented. Excellent value for money, certainly compared to... More

I had starter main and dessert, (a rare occurrence but everything was That Goid!). Admittedly each one to their own, but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. So much so that I asked for the recipe of one of the dishes and there it lay before my eyes, handwritten just for me! Certainly worth a visit but do book in advance.
