Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.

My partner surprised me and made dinner reservations at the SC. I believe it was quiet difficult to get reservations there, though I cant see why? We do not consume alcohol and ordered for non alcoholic champagne, they did not have anything, though they classify themselves as a champagne bar. We do not eat red meat, only fish and chicken... This was our second visit to Savoy Cabbage and as equally memorable as our first. Great service, wonderful food and wine and great value.

Went by accident when my first choice was full. It was a revelation. The food and service were superb.

I have to thank my old friend James Brown for introducing me to this wonderful restaurant. It is tucked away on a side street, but inside it is like Dr. Who's tardis with lots of wood and steel and bags of character throughout. The food and the wine- oh the wine- were absolutely top class, the Shiraz coming from the... More

Wow what an experience. I don't have any words to explain what my taste buds and other sensors have experienced. A 16 year old treasure situated in the back streets of cape town. Perfect place for couple or business meetings as no music .

We came here after the recommendations on trip advisor and was not disappointed. The food was outstanding - I had the lamb and my partner the steak. Both cooked perfectly and an excellent wine menu to go with. A bargin compared to some other restaurants on the waterfront and far superior. Could not recommend enough

It is 2 years since we visited the Savoy Cabbage and, thankfully, nothing has changed. The food and wine were as good as ever, as was the ambiance. Book a table upstairs as the tables are better spaced and big groups are seated downstairs. Service was friendly and competent.

Just been again to what has become an annual pilgrimage. Restaurant never fails. Food, wine and service all from the top drawer. Update all my S African wine knowledge from the manager every year. A menu that you have to read, as the choices as they are so different. Enjoy as I do !

This was recommended by our guide and it's a wonderful, cozy local restaurant. Try the zebra appetizer: a bit like prosciutto, but you can tell your friends you ate zebra. Take a cab to get there.
