The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.

We booked here after our reservation for another hotel was cancelled. We wanted a taste of South African fine dining and was recommended the Savoy cabbage. We enjoyed our experience but it did feel a bit lacking, our sever changed throughout the night and didn't keep an eye on our drinks etc. the food itself was good not quite fine... More

Grilled kabeljou with green olive tapenade and black caviar...excellent entree. Very good service, pleasant surroundings, quiet enough to carry on a conversation...highly recommend for a good dinner experience in Cape Town.

This restaurant was suggested by the concierge at our hotel Cape Heritage. Turned out to be excellent advice. We had warthog and hartebeest which were both fabulous. Great wine list and we both had a glass of the excellent South african port to finish. Great service from our lovely waitress.

Well judged cooking. I had the zebra loin which, as a Brit, I was slightly worried about. I needn't have. It was delicious. My wife had the lamb which was cooked to perfection. Friendly service with a smile and an excellent bottle of wine.

Amazing food, excellent service and great atmosphere. Went with friends after a recommendation and I have to say I was extremely impressed. The menu changes daily, although it always includes the restaurant signature dishes. All of the wines on the wine list are locally sourced and the wine we had with our meal was excellent. One of the secrets of... More

We had a delicious meal here during our stay in Cape Town. The staff were very nice and attentive and the décor of the restaurant is a bit different. We had a nice table and some nice food, including zebra. One of the desserts was a bit stale with the wrong ice cream compared to their menu and they apologised... More

I've been at a workshop in Stellenbosch, so this was my first night in Cape Town and the La Rose B&B recommended the Savoy only 2 blocks away...wow! The wait staff were attentive but not hovering, the interior is delightfully eclectic, the selections were all unique and something for everyone, good wine selection, and the food itself was delightful. I... More

This was our first meal in Capetown as we were incredibly jet lagged from the journey from Australia. The concierge at our hotel booked this for us because he insisted that we would love it. He was SOOO right! I am pretty sure we had one of the last reservations (around 9pm) and the service was efficient but not overly... More

Visited the restaurant many times during my studies at UCT. Located perfectly in the city and the interior was perfect with its high ceilings and industry touch. The staff was very friendly and had an impressive knowledge about wines. The food was 9 out of 10 visits outstanding. Only shortly after the reopening in June, the level of the food... More

This restaurant has excellent ambience - set in a very old brick building, with modern fixtures and a wonderful light fixture with Bishop Desmond Tutu swinging from a chandelier. I had the salad of spiced roasted nuts with poached pears and feta which I loved. My wife was also delighted with her butternut and goat's cheese tart. For our main... More

I am so sorry that the chicken dish did not meet the excellence of the other dishes you so enjoyed. Our chicken is free range and it usually is tender and tasty. I have tasted tonight's rendering of this dish and enjoyed it, but I must admit it is one of the plainer dishes on the menu and this is... More
