Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.

place to have a drink

Great place to have a drink, architecture is very strange but at the same time interesting. Unfortunately we were not able to stay for dinner nut the menu looked great.

We were a group of 8 people. The food was incredible. The service was charming and efficient. The waiter made excellent suggestions. The wines were delicious. One of the best meals we ate in Cape Town. This restaurant is my first choice for a fabulous, over the top - but very reasonably priced meal in Cape Town. Do not miss... More

Birthday evening so was hoping for a special dinner. The restaurant has a very authentic atmosphere and upstairs with the glass balustrade enhances the look and feel. Very welcoming and friendly staff and a delight to be offered an entrée. The staff were attentive and made sure the glasses were always full. The main meals were superb and the flavourful... More

one of my favourite places in Cape Town - The Savoy Cabbage has an accessible wine list and an ever-changing menu. The food is always fresh and superbly prepared. There is a true feeling of home here - the restaurant is spacious and yet still manages to feel cosy. Ask to sit upstairs for more intimacy and a view over... More

Last night we had a lovely dinner with fine service and good wine all at a reasonable price. I tried warthog (a first time event) and it was delicious. Appetizers and mains were all extremely good as was dessert.

What a great place. I was there with some pretty boisterous (but polite!) friends and the team handled us beautifully. They made us fell very much at home in the spectacular environment there. The decor and lighting are flawless. Oh and the food was wow. It was a dream menu for me. Brief. Unpretentious. Ambitious. Balanced. Fun. I had the... More

I enjoyed a lovely meal here last night at one of Cape Town's most established restaurants. The menu is very interesting and the service excellent. Ps it's open on Mondays too.

I was in Cape Town for two weeks, and this was my favorite restaurant. The staff was very friendly and provided fantastic recommendations for my meal and wine. When I received the bill, I was shocked at the wonderful value I just received. The quality of the food and service was incredible ... 5 stars all the way!

We went for a business meal in the evening. The restaurant is lovely with brick wall and glass staircases. Very enjoyable atmosphere. The food was well presented and perfectly cooked! I recommend the Zebra starter. Unique and excellent! Will come back. The staff was also very good.
