A real fun African night.

Our last night in Cape Town, our last night in South Africa, our last night in Africa... We had to try some authentic African food. I think we decided upon this place through the Lonely Planet guide. The charm and unique African style of this special place blew us away. A very warm welcome plus polite waitresses & waiters helped us to enjoy the 'tapas' size dishes from different African countries even more. You get to taste small portions of 7 or 8 different dishes including salad, curries, chicken, fish & ostrich and can order more of... More

amusing african experience in the mother city! Fixed-menu whit many different dishes, each of them of different african origins (marocco, zimbawe, congo etc). Delicious, even if many of them are quite spicy. Friendly waiters are typically dressed, and perform a typical song/dance to welcome the guests

I had 2 friends from S. Africa recommend that we eat at the Africa Café while we were visiting Cape Town. I'm so glad we did!! It was fun from the minute we walked in! The restaurant is decorated in vibrant colors and each room is unique. We ate upstairs in a room that had chicken lamps?! All the employees... More

Nice restaurant with a menu of 16 dishes for 275 Rand per person, drinks are extra. Relaxed atmosphere and a great dining experience. A lot of food, all you can eat. The whole program reminded me of a theme park, I was only seeing tourists. A little bit too artificial perhaps. Would have given 5 stars if the shots after... More

A bit touristy but the concept is great and the food is outstanding. There is a lot to eat, so pace yourself. Highly recommended if you want to sample dishes from all over the continent...

While on holiday in South Africa, my wife & I along with 4 friends visited the Africa Café for an evening meal. What an enjoyable and really different evening we had. We were made very welcome by the staff (who I think are all family or friends) and treated to a very enjoyable meal indeed. Every course that was brought... More
