Having been taken there by friends who obviously love the restaurant, we are loth to give a bad review. However, having read another reviewer's title "Emperor's New Clothes", which incidentally is one of my own favourite quotations and speaks volumes, we feel obliged to support that view with our own feelings. This restaurant is not for us. The food did... More

We booked three months ahead and couldn't get into Test Kitchen, but I think we got the better option! Luke DR has created a unique experience here. We took an early table and the backdrop from the Top Floor of the Silo at the Old Biscuit Mill is over to Table Mountain. With the sun setting it added to our... More

We went to the early sitting which had a really nice vibe. The light in the restaurant and the views add to the experience. Menu is extensive but you can't go wrong. Everything is such a taste sensation. The service was excellent. If you can get a booking, this is an experience not to be missed.

A lovely meal! The food was creative and delicious. Very upscale and flavorfull food...very eclectic menu with an incredibly lively atmosphere given the open kitchen and closely situated tables. We ordered about 8 different dishes for two of us because we wanted to try at least 1 dish from each category.

Fabulous location on top of the old biscuit mill in grungy Woodstock. Great warehouse feel with funky tables and design. Outstanding service - our waiter - Rudi - was so much fun and really made the evening. And the food was a taste sensation of note. Wished we could have eaten more but what we had especially the delicious ginger... More

We booked quite a while in advance of our trip following recommendation from a friend. Really cool place to spend an evening, very chilled out atmosphere and laid back. The service is almost too laid back would be my only negative feedback! The food was good, as it's tapas style you get to try lots of bits. Good cocktails and... More

We've eaten at Test Kitchen twice but never got into Pot Luck. We took our teenage sons along for the experience - which it is always with Luke Dale Roberts. OMG, it was fantastic - we ordered EVERYTHING on the menu we were so scared of missing out on something delicious. Every dish was a taste sensation, with something special,... More

One can count yourself very lucky if you get a table at one of Roberts' restaurants a month or 2 from now, leave alone the same day. We were indeed over the moon when we managed to get a table for 2 last Saturday, after we were 1st told they were full for the next 2 months. As we arrived... More

Went with my parents and niece. Very busy for lunch. Tapas style small plates. We ordered about 15 plates to share at the table. All were very good. Service was very good and the timing of the plates was good. Would definitely go again.
