I was told Cafe Caprice was the most trendy place to go in Cape Town for people watching and that it was the number one choice of celebrities as well as locals. When I first got here, it was Saturday afternoon and not too crowded. I must admit I was expecting a fancier place but it was relaxed and laid... More

I went for a quiet dinner on a Tuesday and Caprice was quiet and calm... The burger was amazing and the music was good! I returned with my better half over the weekend for a burger and ended up trying every cocktail on the menu! it was FAR busier, the rugby was on, the staff were very busy but we... More

We arrived at Caprice just before noon. It was packed so when we were seated we were scrunched up between numerous tables. The waiter seemed uninterested, but the food was great. The view was incredible and besides the dozens of taxi's whipping past with their music thumping, it was really a great location. The crowd was young and the weather... More

A bit disappointed by Cafe Caprice after all the recs we'd heard about this being the best place for a sundowner. "Vibe" wasn't so special and the crowd was a total motley crue. Nothing posh about it. But, the drinks were good and cheap, the service was good, and the sundowner view was great.

Capetown is a beautiful place and one of the most fascinating I have ever been to. The Café Caprice is one of the more posh but very nice places in Campsbay just near Cliffton. The food they serve is awesome and the service is excellent too. Drinks while Sun Downing is just awesome and I will hang out there again... More

When we arrived at Cafe Caprice I must admit we were a little disappointed. Its adjacent to some quite fancy looking places so we felt perhaps we should have avoided a friends recomendation but boy were we wrong. The food is excellent, the service is swift, and the vibe they have going on is just so capetonian - we love... More

I was expecting this would be an overpriced place but it's hard to beat the location so I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, prices were quite reasonable. I had a bowl full of mussels for R80, which completely filled me. Sitting outdoors and enjoying the sunset here was great. It's a crowded place so it gets... More

I was looking forward to visiting Café Caprice since I heard it was such a nice place, but was rather disappointed. The drink were also very overpriced I think. We ordered 2 drinks which cost us R160, which is fine but the drinks themselves were nothing special at all, definitely not worth 80 bucks for one. The music was also... More
