Wow, this was the most expensive meal we had in Cape Town, and the WORST! We would not have blinked at the cost if the food and service lived up to it. We did the tasting /wine pairing meal which we have done in many restaurants. The service was just horrible, the staff unfriendly and no attention paid to the... More

I have always enjoyed coming here for Sunday lunch but have always been disappointed with rather bad service. It was just the surroundings and the decent food that would have me come back. This summer however there seems to be a much more attentive management and staff compliment making the experience much more enjoyable. A definate place to chill on... More

Good location, service and food, but way over-priced by Cape Town standards. We enjoyed meals at other restaurants in Cape Town more than this and paid half the price! It is just not worth what they charge.

Not too often I can let my energetic 5 year old run around and feel safe! Even though he had a tumble and scratched himself ...but before we knew what, the management had plasters whisked out and he was again running around whilst we enjoyed a superb lunch. Wine pricing and selection was very good, and we were blown away... More

Roundhouse is a nice place with good service staff, however we were disappointed by the food quality and the slow service..I was struggling between two or three stars but given the high price and the general high quality of food in South Africa, I think 2 stars is more appropriate. They only offered a fixed 4 courses menu for dinner,... More

This is well worth a visit if you get the chance!! You would need to book a table in advance for supper, when you do ask for a table by the window. is also recommended to go early before you reservation for some sundowners. The service is unbelievable - you get greeted outside the restaurant when your taxi pulls up... More

This was our last meal in Cape Town to sum up a fascinating 8 day trip to South Africa. I had read about them online and had my fingers crossed that the Rumbullion lawns would be open when we arrived. We spent the morning riding the Table Mountain Cable Car and this place is barely 7-8 minutes from there. We... More

This is an excellent restaurant with great food, however it comes with a hefty price tag. We had a tasting menu with paired wines, all the courses were beautifully prepared and presented. Service was OK. However in terms of value and atmosphere I can think of better places to eat in Cape Town that are much better value than here.... More

With being tucked away is what makes this restaurant special. Fantastic seaboard views. Food is good, though I must point out that you Must book in advance. Even if you arrive and it looks empty, the attitude is a bit poor when you walk in not having reserved a table. If you can find it, book and go and enjoy... More

Following on our visit of almost a year ago where we had been blown away and highly impressed we had pencilled this down as a definite return visit. As in our previous visit we chose the tasting menu with wine pairing. The title sums it up as in "Good but no Cigar" they did not quite hit the spot with... More
