Description: Steeped in over 300 years of history, the former guard house, tea room...
Steeped in over 300 years of history, the former guard house, tea room, hotel and the hunting lodge of Lord Charles Somerset has been elegantly restored with the charm and sophistication of the Grand Old Cape. The style of cuisine at The Roundhouse is uncomplicated, contemporary French, inspired by seasonal ingredients and paired with one of the finest boutique wine collections in South Africa. South African born, PJ Vadas combines his worldly culinary skills with influences from the Cape to create an exquisite four course menu.

Great place for sundowners. Amazing views, the caramelized onion pate is divine and their pizzas are very tasty. This is a great place to watch the sun go down with a craft beer (can highly recommend Van Hunks Pumpkin Ale) good friends and great eats.

Went for a late lunch, we had the most delicious meal. They have a wonderful selection of food, from potted prawns, oysters, wonderful fish, huge burgers and tapas.. They cater for the whole family. Their wine list is also very reasonable. Wonderful to sit and look over the bay. Service was excellent. You need to book.

It's quite ironic, being a Camps Bay local that I'ld never eaten at The Roundhouse before. So when asked to join friends out from Australia for dinner, I jumped at the opportunity! To miss anther fun and fab evening with the Seeff's from Sydney was something I wasn't going to let slip by! Drinks overlooking the bay are something I've... More

We have been looking forward to going to this restaurant for a while so were quite dissappointed when the service was well below the expected standard. Whilst most of the food was yummy, the price did not always justify the quality of the food (especially the burgers). The setting is nice but there is not much of a view. What... More

Stopped here after a morning at table mountain. Lovely place with great atmosphere and views to camps bay and the beaches in the distance. Food was good, we both had pizzas and were full by the 2nd piece - the food are large portions. TIP: just sit down and grap a beer or glass of wine, and watch the wait... More

Service the biggest let down, everything else mediocre except the view and setting. Perhaps the experience was spoilt by an apprentice waiter who had just survived a tough high season. Will still return now that I understand the philosophy better.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here. When we arrived the menu welcomed us to our special evening and from then on we had a perfect evening. The old-world setting, the sunset over the bay and the fabulous food were all perfect. It was very easy being gluten free here with a range of bread and all dishes made to... More

We were there twice now. During daytime, enjoying the terrace, the view, the vibe and the food. By the way, the deep fried fish is recommended. We are going back tomorrow. Booking is difficult. Yesterday they told us they are fully booked for Sunday, but will put us on a waiting list. Today I phoned, our name not on the... More

We arrived to find that our reservation had mistakenly been made for 2 rather than family of 4. No problem. We were whisked in early and seated. Our waitstaff was very understanding and supportive of the kids' asks on drinks and food. Very much worth your time as a tourist, on a date, or with a group.
