A lovely setting and good food

Had a very pleasant lunch on the terrace high up overlooking Camps Bay and Bakoven. Location is on its own on the hillside , not in easy walking distance of the main hotel areas. Friendly Zimbabwean manager Good food large portions. Had the Hummus pot and Caesar salad both very good

Ate her with 3 friends for a celebration dinner. It was quite formal and a very quiet restaurant. The entrance way was cobble stone and it appeared old. It was evening (dark) so there was no view. The menu is fixed price with several courses. We had called ahead and asked if they would allow us to bring a special... More

Dining here is a lovely experience. This is elegant, formal fine dining at its best. The food is delicious. The service is first rate. Most of the staff is from Zimbabwe and they perform brilliantly. There is an extensive wine list. The views from its location high up a mountain in Camps Bay is stunning. In fact, many weddings are... More

This was the first restaurant my wife and I went to in Cape Town. I had made reservations in advance and requested the room with the view. Upon arrival the restaurant did not have our reservation. At that moment I was a little concerned that this could end up being a bad experience. Fortunately for us it was far from... More

My husband and I went here on our first night in Cape Town. When we arrived, we were blown away with the service. The menus had our names on them with a congratulations message as we were on our honeymoon. The food was delicious. we were very appreciative that they tailored the prefixed menu to our liking as I am... More

Unlike the reviews below, I am happy with the experience I got. The views of the Twelve Apostles mountain and Camps Bay were stunning. I had a huge Bianco pizza (no tomato base) which took me some time to finish. It was so delicious. I never felt rushed. Booking via phone was easy. I would not recommend booking online as... More

We had booked a table at the roundhouse for my wife's 30th party. Very much looking forward to it as we only heard good things about restaurant. We pre-ordered food and wine for the tables. The service started off slow and deteriorated throughout the evening. There were about 15 waiters standing around and only one guy was serving us full... More

I was fortunate enough to eat at round house 3 times during 2014. And well, every single time they brought their A game and delivered. The food can be simply discribed as WOW. The winelist dilligent. The staff, simply the best. It is the little deatials that make this place so special. They made a special customized menu for my... More
