We have eaten in many Indian restaurants across the globe and have even been fortunate enough to travel from Mumbai to Delhi on a 'palace on wheels'. The latter served wonderful food. However, in our opinion, the Bombay Brasserie beat them all hands down. This is the first time, I can honestly say that the flavours exploded in my mouth... More

Bombay Brasserie definitely is the best Indian restaurant in Cape Town. They serve excellent Indian food, which is inarguably the best u get in Cape Town. Ambience is excellent too. They also have good wine collection and also tap beer for beer aficionados. Service is great too! A bit premium priced but none can beat Bombay Brasserie Indian food in... More

We visited the Bombay Brasserie on a busy Friday evening. We did not make a reservation beforehand and were disappointed to learn that all tables are booked. But we were told that one table might free up in 30 minutes and he would give us a call. Instead of waiting he recommended us the Crypta just across the restaurant.....a perfect... More

Service is quite slow. Definitely not the place for a quick supper! You need a couple of hours here especially if you do 2 or 3 courses. Food was good, but have had better Indian in Cape Town.

At the week-end, we were visiting Cape Town and decided to try out the Bombay Brasserie. It had been recommended to us by friends and we loved it. It was the best Indian meal we have eaten and we have eaten quite a few!! The service was first-class and the decor was also very good. We will definitely be re-visiting.

We had heard good things about Bombary Brasserie before checking in for our stay at the Taj. The restaurant inside the hotel was awesome! We had some good meals in Cape Town, but ate twice at Bombay. Really authentic Indian food. In fact, after being in India a year ago, the only hotel food that was better was at the... More

I'm not a huge fan of Indian food - I like it but it's not one of my favorite cuisines. Which is why this restaurant is so amazing. This is one of the best meals I've ever had. The food was fantastic, the server was witty and attentive, and it's not that expensive. I had the tasting menu and everything... More

A lovely little Indian restaurant in the Taj Hotel on Wale Street. Serving up the most delectable Indian dishes in lovely settings, this is one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Cape Town. Well worth a visit!

This small restaurant is located in the Taj Hotel and is reputedly the finest Indian restaurant in Cape Town. We are both vegan and also novices regarding the subtleties of this cuisine. We especially appreciated the friendly advice the attentive staff gave us. We thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience.
