number one for us

Still the number one Indian restaurant in Cape Town as far as we are concerned. From the service that you get from the time you arrive to the fabulously tasty food this place cannot be beaten. The portions do not look huge but leave you little room for desert. There were two of us and we went for... read more

After reading the reviews i was excited to have dinner here. Lovely restaurant with faultless service but the same cannot be said about the food. As an indian i should say that i eat food on a daily basis which is definitely more tasty and divine than what i have had here. Feel really bad to spend 500 rands on... More

There is nothing I can fault with this restaurant at all. The food was great. The selection on the menu more than adequate. The service was quiet, efficient and attentive. We were four guests and decided to order a selection of dishes to share. The waitress the proceeded to share the dishes for us on service! That little touch made... More

If you are looking for an authentic indian meal (not durban indian or hot curries), than you have to visit bombay brasserie. positives 1.the restaurant is furnished in a very colonial style with heavy chandeliers, double curtains, dim lighting etc. So great for a relaxing evening or a romantic outing 2.authentic indian food 3.excellent service mostly 4.if you go there... We visited the Bombay Brasserie for dinner on 28 April to celebrate the start of our honeymoon, and my birthday. When I booked via email I got a polite and warm response and they knew it was a special occasion. Service was faultless, our waitrons were charming and poured our wine beautifully. The starters (green pea & potato cakes; lentil... More

Being from the UK we know our curries and was very pleasantly surprised with the service ( Linga our waiter was especially nice and very professional ) the seating area overlooking a small part of the cooking area also adds a nice touch. The food was good and well presented. We had one suggestion for change and the restaurant manager... More

we were a group of 6, we had a reservation for dinner. During the day they called us from the restaurant to confirm. We arrived on time and they told us that there is no table for us. They made us wait 45 minutes. we selected the chef menu and it is mentioned on the menu that it cannot be... More

The staff are lovely. Attentive and polite. The food is good. Some nice added touches including an amuse bouche and palate cleanser. The dining room itself looks nice but has a pungent cooking oil aroma which is really unpleasant. Improve this and it would have been a 5* rating.

Me and my twin went here to celebrate our birthday, and we were not disappointed! Incredible service, food and atmosphere, definitely worth the extra money that is required to eat here!

Stepping into Bombay Brasserie did not disappoint, in fact we were warmly welcomed, ushered to our table and enjoyed a wonderful dinner with top notch dining service. A sincere thank you to Clement and the team as well as the behind the scenes people for making our wedding anniversary ever so special!
