What an experience. The ambiance was very youthful and fun and we felt very at home since we have many hip restaurants like this in San Francisco. The staff was great and we had a fun time. Not to be missed.

If you are looking for something different - incredible decor with a brilliant vibe, this could be the place for you. The service was excellent, our waitress being very nice and just friendly enough without becoming overbearing. Food was good - try the chilli chocolate steak - memorable. Overall a great experience.

We celebrated a friend's 40th birthday at the Bombay Bicycle Club. Fantastic vibe, the food was good and the surroundings are a feast for the eyes although a little cramped for space if you're a large party. All in all a memorable evening!

Was invited there by South African friends. Fun, funky atmosphere, good service & good food. Lamp shank exceptional, fish of day, OK, but nothing to write home about. Enjoyable atmosphere. If you're daring, reserve swing seats.

The crazy, eclectic decor somehow works to create a lovely atmosphere. The service was fairly average, mainly due I think to the cramped nature of the restaurant which makes the servers' lives a bit difficult. The food is great; it's just a really fun and different sort of place to go for dinner. I have been a few times, and... More

Very quirky, cute little place. Very cluttered and entertaining to the eyes. However, the service wasn't great. Food was mediocre both times I went. A cool experience, but I won't be returning any time soon.

I have always considered Bombay Bicycle to be one of Cape Town's best restaurants especially since its always impossible to get a table unless you book a few days in advance. So I decided to do just this and take my sister visiting from Dubai there recently. Although it was a very pleasant evening and definitely a very unique experience... More

This was without doubt one of the best places we visited during our holiday! Probably more for a younger crowd, or at least a willing crowd, as it can get loud and a bit crazy..which we LOVED! A camera man comes around (or at least did that night) to take your picture, accompanied by hats and costumes for the table,... More

Imagine. One of the guests at your table has what seems to be a cardiac attack. Imagine, that when you attempt to bring the person outside your way is intentionally blocked by other guests, shouting xenophobic abuse at you. Imagine, that one of those other guests comes and turns the fully ladden table over you. Welcome to the Bombay Bicycle... More

The place looked like fun, but......it took 20 min before they took our order and another (believe it or not) two hours before our food arrived. You couldn't move in the place it was totally over-filled, so much so that people had to get up to let you through to get to THE toilet. Yes, for all those people only... More

Dear Frequenttraveler Thank you for posting your review in this most public forum. Yes, the Bombay is indeed a tight fit, however the rest of your points need clarity. . Your food order took longer than usual as most of your guests did not understand the menu and you most certainly did not wait 2 hours for your food, as... More
