Good but slow

We were rushing to get to the Robben Island ferry and the rather leisurely approach to service meant that although the breakfast was good, the service friendly and the setting pleasing, the whole meal was rather stressful!!

My wife and our two boys checked out this place for breakfast. To say the least, it was wonderful. So much flavor and the portions were perfect. Will definitely go again when we're back in Cape Town.

LPT, as it is referred to in our house, is always worth a visit. I cannot possibly count the number of times we have visited. My daughters love LPT's cakes and chose this above any other treat when we recently had a Saturday morning free. My husband and I love this spot for lunch. The food, coffee, wine and service... A very casual and chic place with very nice treats and food... Ideal place for lunch or a catch up with friends, it's only open during the day... And can be quite busy, because it's good... It's a good choice...

This is one o fmy favourite breakfast/lunch spots in Ct although I don't seem to get here often enough, coming from the Southern Suburbs and battling the parking constraits in the area. However the atmosphere and food never fail and the quality is always consistent! Well done Len & Johann - keep up te good work!

Still our best breakfast place to date and we have been to many. La Petite Tarte is something special where one feels like part of a family and you are welcomed back time after time. Omnipresent hosts Len and Johan are passionate about what they do and whether Johan is adding a magical touch to a massive floral arrangement or... More

The charmingly quaint French atmosphere hides a delicious surprise - the best Cape Baboetie in Town! Yes - the chicken pie is to die for but when in the Cape Quarter why not sample this traditional Cape Malay dish - made personally by one of the co-owners. It really is the most fragrant and tasty dish on the menu.

We were in February in Cape Town. We were recommended La Petite Tarte of friends. So good we went there. And it really is worth a visit. It is run by a very nice older couple, it's totally lovingly decorated and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We drank a latte and ate a fantastic carrote cake and it... More

Wonderful atmosphere and decor. Food excellent and made using fresh products. The Croque Monsieur is the best outside of France. A must. My Jack Russell was welcome too!

This restaurant situated in the heart of the Cape Quarter is well worth many visits. Their creamy scrambled eggs and crispy bacon is my favourite breakfast and if it's lunch, then roast chicken pie and salad is always my choice. Having said this the rest of the menu is extremely good. All the food is of high quality. If its... More
