This is a wee gem of a cafe and restaurant in the heart of Cape Quarter. Service is consistently good and owners very attentive.

We visited this cute little place on a very busy Saturday over the Christmas and New Year holidays. There was such a great atmosphere one felt you could be sat in Paris at one of the exclusive tea rooms. A great choice on the menu .great to have a vegetarian diet catered for so well. The owners were very discreet and... More

This chanting lunch venue in de Waterkant really serves the very best Chicken Pie I have ever eaten anywhere in the world, packed with chicken, vegetables and topped with a very good lattice crust and served with a an excellent avocado, tomato and lettuce salad. Try the excellent Carrot Cake or Plum Tart, described by my friend who ordered it... More

This restaurant is quaint and a must to visit. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing yet sophisticated and comfortable. The menu is a blend of exciting dishes that have a somewhat international flare combined with tasty home-made cooking. One of my favourites is the chicken pie served with a fresh salad. I find the baked cheese cake to be the... More

La Petite Tart is the kind of place that you will want to keep returning to. Their scrambled egg make me determined NEVER to try this at home, because I will always feel a failure after their expert and delicious cuisine. Their carrot cake makes me want to beg one of the owners to marry me! I have visited the... More

This is small but lovely restaurant sitting on the street in the De Waterkant area of the beautiful Cape Town. The owners Len Straw and Johan De Villiers are active in the every day activities and it shows. I had the most delicious lemon and almond cake you could ever have. we also had the home made Bobotie made with... More

We were attracted by the charm of La Petite Tarte and just walked in while wandering around at De Waterkant. The decoration inside gives a homey feeling with the couch, the cabinets and bottles of preserves and jams on the shelves. We still preferred to sit outside which was great for people-waching and enjoying the lovely weather as it was.... More

We had breakfast here. The menu is limited but the quiche is very good. We got a piece of carrot cake to take home and it was excellent.

La Petite Tarte is a boutique style bistro in the hart of Capetown buzzing centre Waterkant. The restaurant is tucked away in a smaller side street and the decor is exactly spot on. Small bistro style with a small lunch menu with great dishes. Had a tasty bobootie with great taste kick. Me also had there famous chicken pie which... More

Great restaurant, excellent food and service. Wonderful hosts, good value as well! I will always go back, Johan and Len have mastered the art of good food! Please try the sublime chicken pie or the smoked chicken and pear quiche. I can eat with them every day, and as I said its good value! Frans
