Delicious Aubergine couscous dish, and light salmon salad with tasty dressing. Lovely attention to detail and old school china. Tiny tables, certainly cosy. Yummy carrot cake with icing that is not too sour not too sweet just perfect. Table clothes are a bit busy but all in all is quite the lovely spot for a cup of tea. And cheese... More

La Petite Tarte is a lovely little restaurant in one of the most beautiful parts of the city - De Waterkant. The staff are always friendly and helpful and greets you with a smile. The owner/manager is always around, checking in with the customers. The food is really good too. Most of all, this is one of the only places... More

Got here by chance when I was just wandering around looking for a place to have a coffee and read a book. I just had a latte and a chocolate croissant, and they were great. The attention and the decor of the place is superb. The owner came personally to welcome me, ask me about the coffee, and to say... More

This has become our regular Saturday hangout for breakfast and we have never been disappointed. They make the best scrambled eggs in town - so try the creamy scrambled eggs and bacon. The cakes and tarts are scrumptious and different to the usual carrot or chocolate you find at most places - try the quince and pecan nut. The interior... More

Quaint and warm....personal attention and awesome lunches and breakfast. Croissants fresh and it pulls you back in time and time again. The owners are well travelled and even sell their own cookbook.

This small cafe in the Waterkant district is great for coffee/tea, croissants, tarts and salads. When you walk inside, you will feel like you are in France! The owner was there and made us feel very welcome. He made sure we were attended to and he made sure we enjoyed our meal. Great drinks/food and service.

The Aubergine and couscous dish is a bowl of tangy heaven. The cheese cake is lovely. The tables are tiny and close together in this tiny spot- but it is cosy and in a good position to go to in the summer. The owner and waiters are always around to help and check that your food is enjoyed as much... More

Very very very nice! Service was excellent. Quiet relaxing atmosphere and excellent soufflé omelette with crispy bacon & tomato inside hmmmmm. From outside I was reminded by our visit to Paris a couple of years ago. The atmosphere inside as well. This is a place I strongly recommend in Cape Town's De Waterkant area. It's somewhat ticked away between buildings... More

Breakfast at La Petite Tarte is something I look forward to each week. With the wonderful decor and ambiance one could be sitting at a street cafe in Paris. You are warmly welcomed and immediately feel part of a very special family. My husband and I are creatures of habit and so each week he loves the croissant with scrambled... More
