Be advised that this place closed - apparently more than 8 months ago in August 2013...even though it still shows up on all the tourist websites!

This is some of the very most delicious food I have ever eaten. It seems to be a mix of African, Indian, French, Portuguese. Plus, the presentation is absolutely beautiful. Lots of carefully prepared and presented side sides with your meal. I've read that the hostess teaches Cape Malay cooking classes, and when I go back to Cape Town I... More

If you're looking for a glitzy restaurant - stay away. If you are looking for an experience then please go there. The atmosphere is homely and the food is true Cape Malay. Loved the food. We had supper and the views out over Cape Town just added a special ambience to the meal. The service is as you would expect... More

The view is amazing. Situated at the top of the hill it's best to go via Wale street since it's not that steep. The food is tasty but because the waiter was nowhere to be found, I could not ask for salt which it needed a pinch of. I was very well aware of the family who own the restaurant... More

Service was poor and very slow....food is over priced and not good. I would not recommend it at all. Cape Town has many good malay restaurants...this is not one of them.

As many cities do, Cape Town fires a loud and unmistakable gun at noon - if on holiday, it's a great way to check you're watch for local accuracy!

I recently relocated back to Cape Town and love being back in the city, with it's amazing atmosphere and sights. There is however one attraction which you rarely see but know immediately - no matter where you are in the city bowl area - and that's the Noon Gun. A true Cape Town landmark - helping us lost souls who... More

View of commercial Cape Town from the top of Longmarket eluded us on a rainy day in Cape Town and it took a long way for our taxi to get us there but the food was fantastic.

This is a magic place. It's situated in a converted private house on the upper slopes of Signal Hill. The front terrace overlooks the Waterfront in a way no other place does. I love this spot. The curries are marvelous though perhaps a bit high priced. The service is homely and friendly. I always take visitors there, especially when there... More
