Firemans Arms

Popped in to Firemans for some rugby, and a chow. Quite busy for a winters night – and a nice mix of young old. The rugby was poor, but the food was good. The boys had burgers, and the girl’s pies - both receiving thumbs up all round. The burger was not cheap at R95 though, but I was happy... read more

We visited Cape Town as part of a cricket tour. The Firemans Arms was our adopted local pub for about 10 days. It is a great place for sports lovers to watch their favourite games. The beer is good and the food is excellent value. Kevin and Dean and there friendly team looked after us very well. A great pub.

Love this spot - fortunate to laugh along to SONA 2015 here. The atmosphere is friendly and vibey. Guiness on tap, and pub-grub. Make a wicked PIE and the very hot one is only for the brave / insane. Loved it nonetheless - washed it down with some whisky. On Thursdays the have quiz-nite.

Fireman’s has been around for eons… Called in last night, noisy pub environment, still running old school where you can smoke in the bar. Sat under cover had a Pizza which was nothing special but boy was the chicken pie good. Great place for a winter pub lunch, watch sport and have one of their famous Fireman’s Pie’s

A pub with good food and a great atmosphere especially at the Thursday quiz at 8pm . Go early to get a table. Good selection of beers and lagers plus a pizza making area and outside seating. Friendly and efficient staff. A good night out.

The Firemans Arms is known for their big screen sports. Sport lovers flock to Firemans Arms to watch soccer or football matches. They obviously serve large beers and they have nice pizza.

Nestled close to CBD hotels, right next to one of the major roads in an out of the V&A you can 'experience' a little of an unpretentious Cape Town. You don't just have to appreciate the multiple beers on offer, the sports bar or great service - just sit and enjoy the people! The food is not bad either!

A nice spot on the Cape Town foreshore. Great character, beer on tap, good food (really! I had the all day breakfast and was surprised by how good it was). Service was good. Bathrooms are a bit iffy. Else, go for a beer and catch the game - a great sound system with ample screens.

A real pub in Cape Town, good food, wonderfully kept & served draught beer, pizza oven in evenings & friendly staff, led by the landlord. I can not go to Cape Town without paying a visit to this comfortable, friendly hostelry.
