Bizerca Bistro, Shortmarket street (http://www.bizerca.com) and actually attached to the Cape Heritage Hotel. As we were staying at the Cape Heritage Hotel we thought we eat here on the first night as it was convenient. At the time I didn’t know it was one of the Top 20 restaurants in Cape Town and listed as a top choice by the... More

Hello, We read about the bistro. Unfortunately we still had the old adress and searched for a while, but we found it at the end. It is. Ow located at Shortmarket Street, heritage quarter. We didn't have a booking and were lucky to get a seat. The outside dining area is charming and blankets are provided for extra comfort, also... More

Nice ambiance out in the courtyard. Good attentive service without being 'in your face' and a simple menu but everything we ordered, mainly from the chalk board, was great. Nice wine list if a bit pricey. My second time there and fast becoming my favorite.

It was the second time I tried to eat at Bizerca and I find it very hard to get a booking. The hostess (manager) comes accross a bit 'important' as she did not have a table available for the entire week, but in the end she did (?) - confusing. Once we were in, it was lovely. The courtyard is... More

After a serious month-long culinary tour at all the best restaurants in CT, this was by far the worst in terms of food, and the most shockingly horrific in terms of service. The food came out 1.5 hrs after we ordered, and COLD, and the manager gave us a terrible attitude, was completely rude & unapologetic, and even dared to... More

Actually Bizerca Bistro is not a bistro but a real restaurant. As more or less everywhere in South Africa food and wine is of very high quality - of course quality is much better than in touristic areas like waterfront and the price is absolutely okay. In the end its very, very, very good value for good money. Next time... More

I like bistrot food. I enjoy good products well cooked . This is why i enjoy Bizerca. The beef filet was perfectly cooked with nice light vegetables. The ostrich was perfectly seared. The hake was beautiful. Simple .t The desserts were what you expect from a bistrot with an excellent creme brulee, good ice cream and excellent soft center valrhona... More

Sitting out in the patio for lunch. Excellent and varied menu. Unable to get reservations for dinner, any night that we were there.

We went to this restaurant because we couldn't get into the Test Kitchen and didn't regret it. The courtyard even on a windy evening had real ambience. The food is fine dining with real attention to the ingredients. The wine list is interesting and better value than many other top end establishments. The service by our waiter was prompt and... More

We enjoyed one of the best meals we have ever had in Bizerca. The food was inventive and beautifully presented and served. I would not have believed that I could wax lyrical about aubergine sorbet! Incredible value for money too. I now understand why we had to book so far in advance to secure a table. My only comment would... More
