Drum course, great african shows and delicious food – all in all it was worth it. I found it however very expensive for south african standards (about R500 per person, with wine), specially considering that the menu is not "à la carte", but fix and the quantities are moderate (not a self-service buffet!). At the end we also had some... More

If you are looking for an entertaining evening with great food and amazing staff this is the place to go. It is a little touristy but so much fun it is a worthwhile stop. Our group had a wonderful time. Make sure to arrive early to participate in the drumming lesson.

We wanted our kids to hear some African music, and this didn't disappoint. We arrived for a 6.30pm African drum class (R95pp) which our 8 year old and 4 year old daughters did while we had a glass of wine watching - was good fun, high energy and entertaining. The teachers were excellent. We then had our set menu- food... More

Wow is all I can say, great fun, great entertainment and simply amazing food and wine, keep it up! The drum show at the beginning would be great for someone that hadn't seen anything like it however I had see a very similar show in the past.

A reservation at this restaurant was included in a package we had purchased, and we had a lovely evening. My husband and I arrived at the Gold Restaurant in time to participate in the pre-dinner djembe lesson. It was a fun and interactive activity and made us really hungry after banging on the djembe for quite some time! The restaurant... More

This was the location of our Farewell to South Africa dinner on our 2-week Collette tour. It was fun and the food was good. The entertainment was good and it was a great place to be with a large group. Had there been just the two of us, we may have felt a bit left out of things, as most... More

Huge and had it all, but Cindy (managing director), you lost the african soul somewhere. Maybe unfair to compare with Savoy Cabbage from the day before, but the waiters there enjoyed their job as I could tell, and this gave me a good feeling. Gold has everything going for it and if large cruise groups is the market so be... More
