A sports bar pure and simple. Big thanks to the South African at the bar who ensured I could get a beer while watching the thrashing of Scotland rugby. Others from our party weren't so successful - but they were trying to watch the World Cup football at the other end of the bar so I would say Rugby was... More

we decided to try the brewery (Friday 2nd May 2014) as we wanted to specifically try some craft beer. The atmosphere was very friendly and it seemed great. however the fish we ordered (pub style) was completely over battered and overcooked. It was extremely dry and unpalatable. I had 2 bites and then found a large bone followed by the... More

We spent our last afternoon having lunch here. The staff was very friendly and the pub food was good. The guys did a 7 sampler beer tasting and enjoyed it all. A nice setting outside on the patio to watch all the people coming in and out of the waterfront. Recommend it for a casual fun lunch.

Visiting from Newcastle upon Tyne UK, very chilled, prices good and entertainment spot on. Good to see a Newcastle brown ale mirror in the place. Had the ribs and chips and the boerwoorst and was brilliant. Staff very friendly . No complaints at all, highly recommended as a quick drink or a all nighter

Only had beer at Mitchell's but they were so good, especially after the majority of beer in Capetown bars/restaurants Nice ambiance about the place and good service. If you are missing a decent drink head for here.

The vibe was very casual and we had a good time outside having drinks and cigars. Eventually ended up sharing a pizza which was also good. ..either that or the beer!.. :)

In the busy Waterfront area Mitchell's is a good place to sit, people watch, chat, drink and eat in a relaxed space. It get's quite crowded so don't expect much personal space - you may even need to share a table with strangers - but nobody seems to mind. The dark beer was good, the burger was a little charred,... Great easy going pub with a very nice terrace, cheap but tasty food. Great spot for any family to sit down and have a very affordable meal.
