Best fish we've ever had!

After reading the popular rave reviews we had to visit and we were not disappointed. The setting in Tamberskloef is a short taxi ride from the V&A waterfront. The restaurant wasfFilled with locals which was a tell tale sign that it merits its popularity. The colourful fusion style decor replicates the menu perfectly. The extensive menu offers taste delights for... More

It was our first night in Cape Town and we were jet-lagged. Almost missed our reservation when we took a very long "nap"! We had good seafood and they have a great wine by the glass menu. Best thing is that it is very cozy and the owner is friendly and helpful as are the staff. Small - make reservations!

This is a little gem, really good sensible food at a good price. the staff are terrific and Jane comes around to explain the specials and make sure everything is okay. the prices are very reasonable, and the wine is excellent and good value for money. We ate here several times during our holiday in Capetown and enjoyed every meal... More

Whenever we come to Cape Town one of our first dinner reservations is made at Miller's Thumb (and you do have to reserve in advance). The atmosphere is lively (it can be a bit noisy at times), the service is friendly and efficient, and there are very few places in town that are better for fine fish and great wines... More

You will most likely have to book in advance - be warned. Mainly fish (doh!), with some turf and vegetarian options. Don't be put off by the unusual external decoration colour.

Cape Town is full of some of the best restaurants in the world, Miller's thumb in ok. Just off Kloof Nek road in another vibrant part of Cape Town it is well located. The service is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed but nothing really stood out here to have it rated the third best restaurant in Cape Town. Large portions... More

Lovely dinner, with blackened fish and jambalaya on the order. Great wine recommendations from the lovely waitress. Excellent service and very happy to have found this little gem!
