Fantastic!

I was a little flabbergasted at the amazing output provided by Theos. Their avo biltong steak was sublime, which my friendly waiter, I think his name was Aaron, assured me would be a winner, thank god I listened. My wife and I live in the area, so we decided to try Theo's. I'm not really one to complain, but the whole evening left a lot to be desired. My wife ordered the prawns and ribs. The prawns were not fresh, they were very floury! I ordered the surf and turf combo (calamari and steak). I got no tartar... More

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation of a friend. Our waitress must have been having a bad day as she was not so forthcoming. We had to ask for many things and they were not delivered. Food was not that great and to be frank, I would avoid this place. Do not waste your time.

We visited Theo's on Saturday evening and found the restaurant to be quite inviting with a great ambience, The waiters were very friendly and attended to us immediately, we were quite late around 9pm but still received our food very quickly as we arrived after a long drive. The calamari main is succulent and worth the price, just that when... More

Trying to get away from the V&A Waterfront recommendations, we were pointed to Theo's in Greenpoint. Located right on the beach road (great for sundowners, especially if you can snag/reserve one of the tables on the front patio), it easily lived up to expectations. Both meals ordered -- salmon and a seafood platter for one -- featured perfectly cooked fish... More

A very popular restaurant on a Friday night, I rather spontaneously decided to try this place instead of walking on the Waterfront. Was squeezed in and ordered dinner - Portugese sardines followed by a superbly cooked fillet steak 'mussel style' which basically involved putting a couple of large garlic mussels on top of the steak. Both dishes fresh, simple and... More

Arrived in Cape Town, Friday Night and no reservations for dinner, Four hungry travellers needing something special to start our last weekend in CT before winging it back to the cold and damp of UK. Sounds like mission impossible? Theo's to the rescue, welcomed us in with open arms, table found in 10 minutes and off we go on a... More

We ate there during our SA-Trip in Dec'14 and strolled in without an reservation, which wasnt a problem , but i would recommed to get a table in advance as it looked qiute busy. I ordered an ostrich fillet (300g) and my girlfriend had a mix of seafood. The Ostrich was delicous (very tender meat) and -with the tasty vegetable... More

We had a pleasant lunch here. This place is a solid, middle of the road eatery. Nice view over towards the Atlantic Ocean. Parking easy. Service was good and as side dishes, we could choose between chips, boiled potatoes, rice or salad. Corkage at a mere R25 is in stark contrast with many eateries these days. Service was attentive and... More
