We recently took overseas guests to Sevruga, and honestly, I should have known better having written a review a few years ago entitled "Overpriced and Overrated". Sevruga's lure is it's Waterfront location and its primary clientele is tourists. For locals, and given what one gets, it is overpriced. While the venue is vibey and trendy, the food - from an... This is a beautiful venue, but my lamb shoulder for R135 was just plain boring. And 4 slices of vegetables don't count as vegetables. As a local, I won't be going back or recommending it

So this was the first restaurant I visited in Cape Town, and it was very good. The atmosphere is very cool and full of young people. Being in a trendy area of the city (The Waterfront), it seems to be a cool place for a variety of people to hang out. The menu is huge and varied. There is everything... More

Our first visit to this restaurant in the waterfront. Odd menu with too much on it. Should have been an early warning sign. Terrific location with great service. However, as huge fans of dumplings, my wife and I could not resist trying a lamb version and a duck version. One type was meant to be pan fried but was steamed... More

We have been here a couple of times - and previously the food was excellent and it felt like you were somewhere special. This time the menus were standard, the food was mediocre and the service was good. Not certain I will go back again when there are so many other excellent restaurants in Cape Town

Having always had great service & overall good memories at Beluga - I decided to try out Sevruga at the venue for a friend's birthday lunch. Blown away from the slick and friendly service the Guest Relations and Event Co-ordinator [Chanel] as well as our waiter on the day [Dean]. Perfect weather to take full advantage of our excellent outside... More

In short, many visits, various numbers in our crowd from two to fifteen, tasted the full spectrum of the menu, ALWAYS excellent food and service! Well done!

We were on our first night of our honeymoon and we were recommended to go by someone. We weren't disappointed!! As we were sat down Andrew the manager came over and offered us free dim sum which he personally selected as it was our honeymoon!! It was delicious. Then himself and a waiter called Max looked after us and made our... More

Family of 5. Absolutely great Dim Sum! Best ever! Sushi was very good. Chicken and beef dinners were very good. Service a bit weak, but ok. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
