Good food but very busy

We enjoyed our meal here but it was a bit more expensive than other restaurants in the area. Very busy and noisy.

This was fine dining at a very reasonable price! We had dinner with three other couples on our first night in Cape Town. We found this gem just down the street from the Table Bay Hotel, where we stayed. We were able to get a table outside which was very pleasant. By the time we left, the outside dining area... More

This restaurant place seemed a crowded (tables too close, loud?) when we were last there, with OK-ish service, nothing to write home about. Everything seems to be aimed at 'pleasing the masses'... acceptable but nothing special. Won't be back unless something changes...

We went here on our final night in Cape Town and it is certainly a cut above most other V&A Waterfront restaurants we tried. We sat inside and it is an elegant, busy but relaxing restaurant serving an excellent range of food, wine and cocktails. Staff were very friendly, very helpful, attentive and efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending... More

Recently on holiday in Cape Town with my South African family we again visited Sevruga 5 years after our first visit to find an equally delicious meal, great restaurant with a lovely view and excellent staff. If you visit Cape Town the Waterfront is a must as is this excellent restaurant, give it a try!!!!

We had another great meal at Sevruga. We probably made a mistake asking to eat outside when the wind was so strong but the staff did really well stopping everything from blowing away. I had the sesame tuna which never disappoints.

We had last eaten at Sevruga 5 years ago, taking along our English relatives. On their return trip this month, they asked to be taken there again - and so a visit to the Waterfront was arranged. Although we hadn't booked, we were pleasantly shown to a table which had great views over the harbour. The food was just as... More

The quality of food is about to the level you may expect . I had salmon with tasty side dishes and a good drought beer. Perhaps because the windy evening, the main room of the restaurant was full and extremely noisy. I could hardly have a conversation with my wife who was sitting just in front of me...

What I worked out on my visit to Cape Town is unlike London you need to be a bit more relaxed with service at times anywhere you eat. This place is 100% fine but when it gets busy take in the view, chill out and enjoy yourself. Food and cocktails were superb. The dumplings are worth ordering to start as... More

The restaurant was very crowded (which is to be expected with anything around the V&A waterfront) and we had a long wait even though we had reservations. The sushi platter we ordered was average but the chocolate dessert was excellent. Thankfully they only had a small corkage fee and we were able to bring our own wine to dinner. Overall... More
