Gio's has the deli, the light meals, the take-home meal for one (or two), the emergency chocolates or champagne... but most of all it set the standard for good coffee in Cape Town for as long as I can remember. This is the place where I ground myself if I've been away from Cape Town for a while. Pop in,... More

Hotel recommended Giovanni’s for a mid-morning breakfast. Well, they did serve coffee, but the balance of the food is deli food and not like the delis in NYC, New Orleans, Chicago, etc. No a big variety of food to select from. The eating area in the deli is made up of a few benches and stools and large planks of... More

This is a trendy and popular deli/ coffee shop in Cape Town. It has a great atmosphere in a good location. Although the seating area is very small and uncomfortable and the service is average, the deli has a delicious and a wide selection of food, bread and cakes. They have the best baked Nutella cheesecake and make a great... More

Giovanni's is a brilliant Italian themed deli in central Green Point. They have speciality foods from across the globe as well as one of the most extensive choices of cold meats, cheeses and freshly baked breads in the area. You are able to choose items from their entire deli and bakery and eat quality food in their internal restaurant or... More
