With panoramic views of Signal Hill, Signal Restaurant provides a welcome setting on the water's edge. The menu is a unique combination of flavours incorporating influences from the many cultures that called upon this region in days gone by. The aged yellowwood furniture juxtaposed with crisp white linen, all skillfully positioned in the glow of the eccentric hand-crafted chandeliers sets the atmosphere for a new level of hip hotel dining.

Tasting menu extravagance!

Part of Cape Grace hotel. Very good food, with quality service and a magnificent view of the harbour and Table Mountain. Staff is very professional and seeks to please. Highly recommended. If I have one complaint, the hotel will acknowledge they serve cape Malay food. Thus not much seafood, despite being on the docks.

Had a wonderful time with tasting menu! Food was amazing, service was superb and wine was out of this world! Could not fault a thing. Our waiter Wellington was excellent and we could not complain about a single thing!

If asked to describe the afternoon in three words, I will have to say, "Lack of abundance". The Cape Grace is listed as one of the top "must experience" venues for afternoon (high) tea. I disagree with this statement. Make no mistake; I absolutely love this hotel and have been there for "coffee and cake" many times and will most... More

Very nice setting with average service. Interesting menu. Only problem is that even though the food was tasty and well presented it was cold - even the plates were cold. Divine deserts.

I recently enjoyed a memorable dinner at the Signal Restaurant, which is located at the beautiful Cape Grace Hotel, in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town. The Signal Restaurant offers Cape cuisine that's fresh and inventive and draws on influences from the many nationalities and customs that have shaped this region since being settled in 1652; namely Dutch and... We stayed at the Cape Grace hotel for 4 nights in March 2015, and ate at Signal for 2 of those evenings, plus breakfast. The service, atmosphere, location, view, wine and food were all excellent. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals here, which are some of the best we've had in a long while. 2 fantastic evenings. Thank you !

Our experience at Signal was fantastic! We sat a corner table overlooking the waterfront/ Signal Hill, allowing us to enjoy the beauty of Cape Town. The plating of the tasting menu was beautiful and each delicious course was cleverly paired with wines from a top local winery, Rustenberg. The menu included some surprising pairings that really highlighted the food! My... More

Had the great opportunity of enjoying the tasting menu with wine at Signal. It's been several weeks since and I still enjoy the memories of the risotto and quail that was part of the menu. Delectable perfection! Despite gourmet size courses, it was surprisingly filling , having some difficulty completing the desert course! Wines were overall good, though not the... More
