With panoramic views of Signal Hill, Signal Restaurant provides a welcome setting on the water's edge. The menu is a unique combination of flavours incorporating influences from the many cultures that called upon this region in days gone by. The aged yellowwood furniture juxtaposed with crisp white linen, all skillfully positioned in the glow of the eccentric hand-crafted chandeliers sets the atmosphere for a new level of hip hotel dining.

We looked forward to a special evenining with out of town friends at the highly rated Cape Grace Hotel at the V&A Waterfront ,Cape Town. Unfortunately ,I chose the rather ordinary fish was was the simple and usually cheaper choice of Hake ,there being no other Linefish on offer. My Hake came full of bones which just crumbled into the... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Beautiful place. Colonial-ish decor. Food was very good. Sommelier was very, very informative. However, we did the wine pairing and did not feel the pairings were the best match.... and we done plenty of wine pairings. Separately very good but not the best match together. Dessert wine was a Chardonnay, not a sweet dessert wine... More

An excellent restaurant within the Cape Grace hotel. High end service, very spacious and stunning food. My partner ordered hake , and the waitress said we can do better than that, and substituted for Kinglclip. All food was excellent. Great night topped off by a complimentary ride home.

Although not staying at the Cape Grace we had read so many good reviews on this restaurant that we just had to go. We were not disappointed. Although we had set out to have the Tasting Menu with wine the offering that evening was not inspiring so chose from the a la carte menu. Everything was well cooked and presented.... More

We were last here 2 years ago and found it good for a hotel restaurant. Again staying at the Cape Grace, we we had two meals there in January. Very little has changed in the decor, menu, service, spacious setting etc. Pleased to see that the pushy sommelier was not in evidence, replaced by a much more engaging, knowledgeable and... More

The choices at Signal are as unique and well done as the spaces décor. We ate breakfast at Signal each morning and the choices were endless. More than the meals, though, the service is impeccable. You feel special while you are at the table. Dinner was equally as excellent. I had the salmon and it melted in my mouth. Plus,... More

The restaurant is in the Cape Grace Hotel, where I was staying and thus convenience was added to the view food wine and ambience. Excellent.
