Wonderful, warm, friendly small Greek restaurant. Marika's cooking abilities are extraordinary. Frank is a graceful kind host. Dominique will serve you with a smile and if you ask about Greece she will be as good as Wikipedia. You have to try the lamb chops!

This unpretentious Greek eatery serves up deliciously juicy and interesting meals - with something for everyone. Good service with a cosy vibe and lovely outdoor seating during summer makes Marika's perfect for lunches, dinners or a laid back end to the day. For dessert lovers, DO NOT LEAVE without trying the mind-alteringly gorgeous nougatene cake. It will cause a seismic... More

This is a genuine Greek Taverna, just like thousands found in the Greek isles. The menu is simple, but the food is authentic and prepared just as it should be. The main lady serving is enthusiastic and well informed, and works extremely hard to make sure that everyone is happy. The really distinctive feature is the location - on a... More

We heard only good things about Marika's and I have to say the food was some of the best Greek food I have eaten. Not that I'm a Greek food specialist, but the basics were done right; fried food were light in oil and crispy, lamb was juicy and perfectly cooked, sauces were fresh and not overly flavored. Service was... More

The food here is reasonably good and very typically Greek, but you need to be able to appreciate the extremely shabby Greek "ambience". I suspect this is trying to pass as authentic, but having travelled extensively in Greece it just comes across as sadly downmarket. Passable for a quick lunch, but I certainly wouldn't want to spend an evening here.... More

It is really a great restaurant you should not miss out when staying in Cape Town. The food is Greek style and I can especially recommend the grilled Calamari, Dolmades and the fish mains. Good quality and always tasty. With the mains you always have the choice between potato wedges or Greek salad. You will never leave this restaurant hungry... More

Excellent food in this family type restaurant almost in the shadow of Table Mountain..The entrance is slightly off-putting as it is via external stairs with a security gate but don't let this put you off.Food and service are excellent. There are many restaurants in Cape Town of a very good standard without being too pricey or too 'cheffy' and this is... I live to eat. Marika's is by far the best Greek food in Cape Town. We have a large Greek friend circle although we are not, we do eat a lot of Greek home cooking. I have not had better. It is vibrant, fresh and flavorful food. Add on the pita and tsatsiki whatever you choose. Love this place.
