Stopped here in Feb 2012 and loved the food and atmosphere. Made a special trip to Skukuza to show overseas visitors the resturant, only to find it closed until further notice. Quite disappointed!

We were honestly surprised to find a restaurant with such a nice setting in a rest camp! The food is absolutely ok and a great change from the other restaurant’s menu, I personally recommend the lemon chicken kebab and the Amarula Crème Brulee. But what you should really look forward to is the setting: They use the old station and... More

We just loved this place - I've never eaten next to a steam train on a railway platform before. The manageress, Terry Sue, had this place well sorted - great food well presented by attentive, pleasant staff. I just wish she could be allowed to sort all the other restaurants in the park. We had two courses each, two drinks... More

We'd eaten in the main Skuzuza restaurant the night before which was pretty bland. It was so nice to come here, sit in the amazing platform and soak up the atmospehere. The drinks are well priced and the kids meals are decent. What made the meal for us (in a large group) was the most amazing pork belly dish. I've... More

I travel frequently and always love to find a gem like the Selati Station. It is set in the last remaining train station of the now defunct Selati Line, which once took wealthy travelers from Johannesburg to the Kruger National Park. Considering how horrible the food is elsewhere in the park, this restaurant is a wonderful respite. It has a... More

The setting of the restaurant is amazing, it feels strange thinking about all the people who would have passed through the station throughout the years. Service is also great, very nice people, but unfortunately that's it. The food was of poor quality, the pizza cheesy and tasteless, the curry bland and watery. We ate at the skukuza restaurant the night... More

We discovered this restaurant by accent a few years ago when wandering around the camp. There were hardly any customers then, but lately one should not forget to book his table in advanced during week-ends. Kruger’s main camps used to have a decent buffet with two different roasts but since they have abandoned the buffets, eating from the menu in... More

this was my second visit to selati. nothing has really changed, food prices went up R68 or 7usd for a burger, pizza a bit more R65 for a salad and about R80 for a bottle of wine. food is at best very average (see pics) and service friendly but slow, the girls enjoyed their salads. however it is still the... There are a couple of dining options at Skukuza camp, and Selati Station Grillhouse is easily the best. Its set in the old train station, is competitively priced and offers good quality food. The service is friendly, if a bit slow when it gets busy. We had 2 dinners here and enjoyed both of them.

We have eaten here a couple of times now; nice setting (a little chilly in May compared to last time in Sept so take a fleece or something to keep you warm) as its fairly open - the menu has a good variety to choose from and reasonable priced, way above the standard of any of the other restaurants in...
