A bit of a wait but well worth it

On my first visit when the Waterberry was first renovated/ rebuilt I was disappointed in general. But we decided to give it another bash this weekend and came home completely satisfied. There is a wait for meals but I believe that is only because everything was cooked

Waterberry's history is a fascinating one. Since 1999 when it began it has transformed the small piece of indigenous paradise into a "must visit" restaurant. However a series of disasters, like the huge Waterberry tree smashing the restaurant and then the restaurant burning down seemed to signal a sad end. However the tenacious owners rebuilt again and again. Now a... More

Loved the food but much patience was needed as they took a while to serve you as they were very very busy.

Open, clean and fresh ambience. The delicious smell of the freshly baked cakes and pastries reminded me of France. My husband and I both had the flatbreads for lunch and they were divine. Only thing missing is wine. Would have loved a chilled glass od wine to go with the amazing flatbreads. Very child friendly.

Had some good cake and drinks. The place has a super clean and fresh vibe to it. There is a stunning deck overlooking a little forest thing. Service was really good too!

The new Waterberries is a delight to visit. When my daughter visits from Johannesburg, two visits to Waterberries are normally planned. Never disappoint, many kids activities and the bestest cheesecake

This gorgeous tea garden in Ballito is very special...When we discovered this place we frequented it almost daily...We loved walking to it for a breakfast or for a mid morning cup of tea and homemade scones with jam and fresh cream...It's such a tranquil place , you feel as if you are in the woods..With weaver birds building their nests... We were here 2 years ago and at our visit now April 2015 it still had the best cakes and tarts in SA. The building is new with stunning fresh decor. Our waiter was friendly and helpfull. The nature trail is still pretty amazing.
