A Classic

Was better but still good. The ambiance of the old building is missed, And the Waterberry tree. But this is a classic establishment. Lemon Merenque is a must.

Had the most wonderful breakfast at The Waterberry. What a treat!!! The place just looks so lovely and don't even get me started on the location, it honestly feels like you are having a meal surrounded by a Forrest. It is beautiful. The service was sort of lazy, but in a very very good way!!! Gives you a chance to... More

What more can I say. Obviously we went for desert ;) I had waffle, cream and maple syrup. Presentation was stunning and the taste was even better. I've had many waffles before and always find fault in most places that serve it but not this time, it was perfect! If you have a sweet tooth this is the place for... More

Sat at table waiting for a menu , no luck. Told management , apologized but didn't seem bothered 😟 Not much to say about the place other than "Dear manager waiters need to be more vigilant when patron enter your Resturant "

We were recommended by locals. Despite many visits to Ballito in the past we had never been here before (probably because it does not have a licence) Apparently the place has recently been renovated, and the interior is light and airy. We went a few times for coffee - and ate lunch once - a lovely quiche. Apparently you can... More

Referred to this cafe by locals. Unique setting, with a bright and airy building. Food and drinks were tasty. Was seated near the checkout point where the wait staff gathered - overheard them complaining about patrons, which was a little off-putting. Would go back again. Also sell bottled jams and preserves.

My review appeared in The Mercury on October 23 It is a somewhat unusual review, but the food was so insufferably bland I had to spice things up a bit CHATTING with some foodie friends, one asked what the words of that famous line in Macbethwere… “Was it ‘Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble’?” I thought it was. And being foodies,... More

We were referred to Waterberry by a local from Ballito so thought it would be worth exploring. Our first visit was characterised by an unfriendly manager who told us that we'd have to wait 45-minutes for a table. We were struck by the lack of a greeting or even a smile when he finally acknowledged our presence. We opted to... More

A truly beautiful place, with the lovely little forest trail just outside. Disappointed though with really slow service on the day we ate there. The place was very busy. Food was average
