Salinas is a gem of the Garden Route! The beautiful setting is one thing, the excellent service and food is the thing all good restaurants strive for... And Salinas has gotten that combination perfectly right! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel most welcome. The owner not only helps his staff but also communicates with his customers... Beautiful sunny day so we sat on the top deck looking right along the beach and out over the incoming white surf. We had the kingklip and the hake served with wedges and vegetables for lunch. Service was attentive but not intrusive and the food was perfectly prepared. The prices of both food and refreshments were very reasonable, especially considering... More

We managed to secure a table for 17 people at relatively short notice-this was on the 28th of December. Friends from Sweden landed on the day - 11 people. We could split the table orders, opting to feed the kids first. Judging by the empty plates, they were very happy. My wife and I had lunch in Keurbooms so were... More

Spending a twilight hour, watching the sun goes down, during the splendid hour of poetic splendour: precious ambiance of relaxation, nature and family quality time and in a friendly environment ... That is Salinas! A beautiful view on the ocean and safe parking, good food and excellent attendance. Well done, Salinas!

As others have said, this is just off the main road and a short distance east of the turnoff to Wilderness village. Looking at the number of cars on Friday night, I guess parking could be a problem - but we walked the short distance from Moontide Lodge, who had recommended it. It's on a bluff overlooking Wilderness Beach and,... More

Had the most divine meal at Salina's yesterday! Fresh tuna seared to perfection and served with a crispy salad! (Very Banting friendly) Thanks to Massimo and his team for my quick Pitt stop en route back to Knysna. I'll be back :-)

Salinas is a lovely little double storey restaurant right off the road in Wilderness. It has two large balconies which overlook the ocean and this made it so appealing to us. We were in search of just that! a restaurant overlooking the sea. The décor is lovely, it is well lit and the open air of the balconies and the... More

We frequently visit the restaurant when we are in the area. The views are brilliant, the cocktails - even though there is a very limited selection - are the best in the area and the food is good to great. (Calamari, Blue Cheese Burger and schnitzels) We will continue to return.

We had a light lunch and a bottle of wine which went down very well. The parking is a little problematic when its high season, but worth a visit. The service was very friendly and attentive. The view down wilderness beach is great. I definitely recommend having a meal here.

We celebrated our sons 19th Birthday at Salina's. It was a special evening as it was the 1st birthday we were able to celebrate with him in 4 years as he is always overseas at this time playing squash. The platters that were prepared were amaising and the effort that was put into making this a great celebration for us.... More
