Waiting over an hour for our meal was one thing. The excuse that there was a big party in didn't help much. The fact that the two tables next to us got their food before us even though they'd arrived later really took the biscuit. That is all we will remember although actually the ambience was good... read more

We drove past the restaurant every evening en route to our rental accommodation and decided to give it a try on our last night in Wilderness. We were not disappointed, the service was excellent, the food was good (seafood potjie, schnitzel, prawns and calamari strips) and we received good value for money. On the downside - and this in no... More

Really enjoyed the vibe and service. Nice cocktails as well as local beers on tap. Well worth the visit

We went for a meal at the last minute, and they were close to closing, but they seated us, took our order and brought the yummiest food. We all had steak, there were 4 of us and the meal cost less than £30 including drinks. the waitress was lovely, so we tipped her quite a bit.

We had a quick lunch there one day and decided to go back again another day for dinner. We actually went there after our shocking experience at Pomodoro (across the street) and we were so surprised at everything they had to offer. Great ambience, excellent waiters and really good food. We ended up going there 5 times in our 7... More

We met some friends there for lunch and almost stayed till dinner. We sat on the deck and it had a beautiful view of all the happenings in wilderness. The service was good considering that it is end of season . Will defenitly be going back again.

Although I went to the Blue Olive during peak season, I do not believe there is ever an excuse for poor service and bad food. Service was incredibly slow and it was impossible to get any ones attention. Ordered dorado, which was completely overcooked and dry, covered it in tartare sauce to try moisten it, but there was no chance... More

The Mussels Blue Olive, and the meat and cheese platter were both excellent. We arrived after 8:30 pm with no reservation. We were informed that because of the Christmas holidays the restaurant was very busy, and the kitchen was 1hour behind on orders. We agreed to this and enjoyed our evening having cocktails, just relaxing and chatting. Our poor waitress... More

Great location and loaded with potential but unfortunately the service is a huge let down. Understandably it's tough during peak tourism times but when one has to wait nearly 2 hours for a meal and your waitress doesn't even apologize for the delay, it's not what one should experience at a restaurant of any level. Let's hope the service improves.
