Best stake house around

We stayed in Durban for a week in late Feb 2015. Had one lunch and one dinner at Butcher Boys. We also tried several other nice and recommended restaurants in Durban. Had 600g T-bone steaks, Ostritc and Wildebeest. We are 2 adults + 2 teens family and voted this the best in town.

This is a great steak restaurant. Friendly attentive service from knowledgable staff. Relaxed atmosphere but still feeling like a smart restaurant. Steaks cut and cooked as you like and with lovely wine to complement them. The price was very reasonable for a European. However I don't know SA well enough to judge the price range here. I couldn't get anything... More

The place to go if steak is on the menu. Good service excellent grade A steaks, the price not over exorbitant. Parking may be a bit of a challenge.

Busy, lively restaurant on trendy Florida Rd. Good atmosphere, very friendly waitresses, good service and an excellent fillet steak, cooked to perfection! Home made burgers were also very good! Good choice of bottled craft beers and wines and the bill at the end of the meal was very reasonable (much less than here in the UK!) Was only in Durban... More

There were 9 of us for saturday lunch. The meal was average. My husband had the cote boef and he loved it! The vegetable platter was dismal and seriously lacking in any initiative. The button mushrooms had come out of tin! Side salad was good. I had a fillet, which was ok, but not fabulous. service was good though!

I suppose the name says it all...it was not our choice, but we were meeting friends who had already selected this what appeared to be very busy and pleasant eatierie. I asked for the Fish Cake as this was the closest item on the menu I could have - none were available. The waitress who was very pleasant advised on... More

We gathered with a group of friends before going to the 80's concert. The beers were nice and cold. The food, pregos in my case were nothing to wow about (too bland) and I would not eat there again. The vegetable dish for all to share contained tinned button mushrooms - so I did not even venture there to taste.... More

Having owned Cattleman's on the beachfront for many years, Lazzie has built this restaurant into THE steakhouse in Durban situated in the trendy Florida Rd. Open for lunch when it caters for many business lunches and dinner. Always full, always viby and always has the shortest waitron uniform... More
