No frills Portuguese restaurant with the best steak I have had in ages - reasonably priced, with efficient service and certainly very lively - Highly Recommended!!!

Stopped off for a quick supper. Welcomed like old friends. Stormy, balmy Durban summer night. Chilled wine, fresh bread, updated menu...Persuaded 9 year old son to have line fish. He didn't finish it and waitress and owner came to ask how it was. On hearing he didn't enjoy it, they discounted the bill. This place is an exception in many... More

We decided to pop into our favorite Portuguese restaurant in Durban's Berea area last Saturday a little after the lunch rush. Calamari tentacles and Chaurico and Calamari rings. Peri Peri sauce was to die for! The rolls were fresh the butter was genuine butter, always important and the chilies tasty as all hell. Management have redecorated but the service a... More

Great food now with updated, neat decor. The revamp has kept the welcoming, warm atmosphere without the clutter. The new extended and opened outside area will be very popular in Summer.

Visited a few weekends ago. Ordered Chicken Espetada, Chicken and Prawn combo, Calamari and Prawn combo and Seafood Platter. We were given full sized super fresh Portuguese rolls and chilli paste. Wow! The chilli paste had kick but was also pleasing. Attention to detail was fantastic. Food arrived in under twenty minutes: fresh and sizzling. The chicken espetada was succulent... More

If you want to eat prawns, this is the place! Very good and value for money. The mussels in creamy sauce, served in a little black three legged pot is "to die for!" I sometimes order 2 as a main course. The Portuguese buns are fine for dipping into the thick creamy sauce!. BEWARE the chilli relish. It is very... More

A nice restaurant that is undergoing an interior revamp soon. The owner who's a dynamic business woman is always around to help her customers as well and make sure everything served is five stars. We had the prawns special and found it a bit too spicy. Upon hearing of this from the waitress, the owner came right over and whisked... More

I skipped the prawns and went for fish and a separate salad. Not exceptional, Fish was OK, but very moderate, the fries were moderate as well. The staff was moderate. The salad was simply putting some salad, cucumber, tomatoes and three olives put on a plate, so less than moderate.Perhaps the restaurant deserves a second chance... One thing, the check... More

Im underwhelmed. If you are not too fussy about the interior nor the view of the restaurant, looks out onto indoor soccer courts...... If you are not too fussy about how the food tastes then this is your spot. Its that typical portuguese place with too much lighting and zero ambience. Not for me, but was full so must be... More
