Try the Root Beer

They make their own root beer. If you enjoy 50's era diners on old Route 66. It's a departure from ordinary. Both locals and tourists love the place for good food and unique decor. It's the right place!

I'd been hankering to try out a 'real' American diner on our US trip and was delighted to find Mr D'z when we were on the Route 66. Love the fun 50s décor! Although you kind of know what you're getting on the menu the food was delicious. My family had the strawberry milkshake, hot dog, deep fried cheese stuffed... More

We stopped in at Mr. D'z for breakfast and were very glad we did. The decor is all very serious Rt. 66. The waitresses were friendly and courteous. And the Mr. D'z Omlet was most excellent -- chopped mushroom, diced onions, serious cheese: excellent. And the hash browns were cooked properly! The prices were more than reasonable. It is well... It felt like they just didn't want to serve anyone, though it was not late at all. The menu's were trown in front of us on the table form 3 feet distance. Taking the order was one thing, getting wat we asked another. Getting it was a task on its own, since helping eachother was clearly not in the books,... More

The service was good, the drinks were plentiful with free refills and the burgers were excellent. The place reminds me of Happy days and America in the 50's. Our group really enjoyed our stop over there. The prices were good and the staff friendly.

The real deal, excellent diner food, great people! Decoration typical, mostly local and regular clients, which tells a lot.

Good food served by a friendly staff. I can't recommend it highly enough. Just like the diners my parents used to take us to when I was a kid. I recommend diners try the club sandwich on sourdough bread. What a meal! The other in my party had a Cobb salad, veggie sandwich, and an appetizer sampler. Everybody was well... More

Stopped by on our way home from the Grand Canyon. Food was ok, sundaes l needed a cherry on top and nuts. Decor was cute, but service was terrible. Everyone including manager were impersonal and seemed irritated by every customer in the diner. I advised our server that there was a roach on the window where we were sitting, he... More

I came for the Milkshakes! They were tasty and the setting was FUN! Lots of memorabilia to throw you back in time.
