Looks like a cheesy tourist trap, but the food was great, and service was sensational. A fantastic meal at the end of a very long drive. Lots of fun memorabilia in a very bright and clean restaurant.

Wow, I can still remember the taste of the burger and root beer I had there last week while taking the old Route 66 tour from Kingman to Oatman Az. You have to try it for yourself and will agree. Great atmosphere and great service. Thanks Mr D'z, see ya soon.

Travelling from the Grand Canyon up to Las Vegas, we decided to stop at Kingman for lunch. Our guidebook recommended Mr D'z's diner - so we stopped! It was very crowded with what seemed local people… normally a good sign. Lunch was 'lunch' perfectly adequate with great coffee and multiple refills. What made Mr D'z's notable was the 50's style... I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was served with ranch dressing, and the onion rings, which were better than any I've eaten anywhere else. I ate by myself at the counter and the server was friendly and attentive. Great place.

Food is like Teddy Roosevelt, rough and ready. Really a gaudy tourist trap that does a great disservice to the "50's style diner" moniker. Ordered a well done blue cheese and mushroom burger with sweet potato fries which came with a slice of dill pickle. I was at first surprised with how quick the food was served, then I looked... More

Stopped in here for a quick bite while going through Kingman. We were greated and seated quickly. Asked for a beer but they are not licensed so I had to settle for a weak iced tea. Order the pepper dog. It was OK but the grilled pepper in it was kind of mushy so I threw it out. I will... More

We walked right over to this diner from our hotel. We had a fantastic meal. We ordered hamburgers and milkshakes. They had great portions and quality burgers.

My husband and I came for breakfast -- well, for train nuts the old Southern Pacific engine outside is worth the visit. Anyway, I asked the waitress about their pancakes and she described a sort I don't like. She asked what I'd prefer and had the cook make them. Delicious! My husband liked the hash browns a lot, too. Chili is made with hamburger, onions, tomatoes in one form or another, and most time beans. What my companion had was some hamburger with just enough tomatoes to color the dish. No spices, no taste. My Philly was o.k., but was on a large bun like a hot dog bun, but crustier. Again, not much flavor here. Don't know what... More

We were traveling to Oatman from Las Vegas going through Kingman to drive a bit of Rt. 66. Stopping for a look at the Rt. 66 museum in Kingman and running a bit behind schedule Mr. D’z looked like a interesting opportunity for lunch. The Diner is decorated to represent one which may have been on the corner during the... More
