We had a wonderful lunch here on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Easy to find but limited parking. We chose to eat at this restaurant because of an episode of Diner's Drive-ins & Dives as seen on Food Network. It was worth passing up all the other chain restaurant to dine here. If you watch any old television or classic tv... More

Mr. D's is a classic '50s diner which is a must! It was a novetly for my sister and I as we had only seen this sort of thing in movies and we enjoyed it very much! The staff were very friendly and we provided entertainment with our reactions amd accents (they obviously don't many have Aussie's come through...) The... More

Worth a lunch stop on Route 66. Well decorated in the style of a retro diner and the food reflects this. We had a macaroni hot dog, meatball sub and a milkshake. All the food was perfect and minimal wait even though the place was full of customers. A fun place to eat and drink.

...was somehow "average". My wife and I had burgers, the kids pizza and burger. The pizza was not too tasty, the burgers were OK. However we have enjoyed it, esp. the decoration of the diner.

We stopped here for an early dinner on our way to the Grand Canyon. Food was very good - especially the milkshake! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere said it all -- it put you right back in time to Route 66!

Mr. D's is another vintage style diner on Route 66 that is a must. I found the burger average but where D'z made up for it was their malts. The interior is typical of what you would expect back in the '50's and 60's. The staff was friendly but not the very attentive at times. The place was exceptionally clean.... More

Well, it was fun and the food and and staff were great but please be ready to pay 75 cents PER CONDIMENT for your plain $6 hot dog! The hot dog and bun were delicious, by the way, but I was taken aback at the charge for relish and onions. Really?! Otherwise, I would have given this place a Very... More

We happened across this place while we were driving through Kingman at lunchtime and were attracted by the turquoise and pink route 66 feel of it. We all had burgers, chicken sandwiches or chicken Caesar, with milkshakes, so we felt very American (we're English). It had diner booths and stools, an old juke box and a life-size model of Elvis.... It's got a cool theme and the food is pretty good, but on the day we were there the waitress was not friendly and the service was slow. Other than that I would say give it a try

Wow... nice 50's atmosphere. We sat at the bar and ordered a chocolate malt and a chocolate ice cream. The malt is huge and scrumptious. The best I've ever had. The ice cream was also delicious. I definitely recommend this place. Additionally, just crossing the street you can find the santa fe locomotive.
