Buffet Evening

We have been here many times over the past few years, and this is the first time I have enjoyed everything. Our waitress was lovely, the house red acceptable as well as the buffet. The food was R45, as it is every Tuesday. The food was to standard and the helpings generous. I don't think I would... read more

Want to say thank you for a lovely day at Stonehaven. We visited Stonehaven the past weekend and all that I can say is excellent!!!!! The food was great (good value for money). Waiters - very helpfull. Children loved the outdoor vibe and even my little one had something to do. He enjoyed riding around on the 3 wheel bike... More

Spent the afternoon on the lawn overlooking the Vaal river. Stunning setting, with great service and healthy portions. A great getaway spot from Johannesburg.

We had overseas visitors with us and thought we would show them a spot on the Vaal river. The green dome umbrellas and plastic tables and chairs are a site for sore eyes. The view of the river is completely blocked by these umbrellas. We eventually found a table. Each table has a button on to call a waiter but... More

I have been to Stonehaven numerous times, and without fail they tend to disappoint. The food is of a very low standard, waiters are clearly not trained and the look and feel of the place is definitely not classy. On the terrace outside it looks like a big camping spot with plastic tables and chairs under a canvas. On two... More

We stayed at Stone Manor last night. We had a horrible thunderstorm drive so arrived in the rain. The house seemed a little dark at first but was definitely just from the rain. Martha who greeted us at the door was super. We had a great nights sleep and the house was extra bright and cheery this morning with brilliant... More

Lovely meal on waters edge. Sitting and watching boats go past, listening to music. A great selection of platters to share and special cocktails like "Moondrop"

Stonehaven was fully booked but they could help me at Stone Manor. You need a 4x4 to drive the dirt road - luckily not very far. Due to recent rains, it was very muddy. Arriving at the Manor, I did not know where to park. A lady called me to the house where I would stay. The gras was about... More
