Great pub that made for a wonderful break from an otherwise normal working week. We didn't try and do anything other that have a drink at the bar but it looks like there are loads of water / leisure related activities available there for families / visitors.

Knowing that we were visiting SA again I looked a few places up to take my dad to. We arrived here and the view is stunning over the Vaal river. You can sit inside the restaurant or outside near the river. I loved every minute of our visit and enjoyed the variety of good food on offer. A lovely afternoon... More

Just another example of a place that becomes complacent once they have the clientele.maybe it was just because it was a 'slow' evening (Thursday) or maybe they changed chefs, but for sure the standard, quality and quantity of their meals have gone down. A very disappointing experience. Oh, ad by the way, if ANYBODy else who goes there have ether... More

We booked the Mothers day lunch and since there are so few options for a special event in the Vaal, we opted for Stonehaven. I guess I cannot complain about the food as everything was well prepared and tasteful. Was it special? Apart from the view over the river, no. Would I go again? By choice ... no. Why? I... More

Decided to surprise the parents and have a family reunion at Stonehaven. Booked for lunch and a 4pm cruise. The lunch was delicious; very appetising and was well worth the trip! Waitresses were probably overwhelmed on the day; it took forever to get to order drinks, and another long while for the drinks to be delivered to us! The environment... More

We brought family from Argentina to experience the Vaal River. We bought tickets for the 3:30 cruise. The boat was overbooked. When we got on we had to ask for extra chairs for the 2 elderly ladies who were not comfortable going yp to the top deck. We were told there were none. 2 minutes later they magically appeared. There... More

It was my daughter's birthday party, they wouldn't let me set up a candy buffet! They said we are not allowed to bring in our own food, what I was bringing in was not food, it was candy, I had prepaid for the kiddies food and party packs, but candy buffets are the in thing and I wanted to spoil...
