My wife and i were fortunate to have dinner at this upmarket venue through a high life voucher that she purchased last year. Not being accustomed to five star restaurants and being on a voucher i was a little nervous. My nervousness quickly subsided when we arrived at reception and were welcomed warmly by the staff who ushered us to... More

Fantastic food, service and ambience in the Chef's Kitchen. Sommelier was really friendly, personable and knowledgable. Chef was attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend the Chef's Table as a unique experience.

I have had dinner on several occasions. The food is consistently good. The menu is limited, this is not a negative. We enjoy the creme brulee served on dry ice. Family atmosphere.

So, my friend and I decided that we wanted to go for high tea, but unfortunately the place we booked wasn't what we expected, and frankly very very disappointing, but nonetheless, since we were in Sandton, we searched and found the Michelangelo. I always wanted to go, so we did. Firstly we didn't make a reservation, and we were late,... More

But then the foodd - had the gravad lax - room temperatured, i would recommend it to b served colder. But good taste. A small raspberry sorbet next as an extra... More

This is the restaurant in the Michelangelo Hotel, situated on the first floor overlooking Nelson Mandela Square. The views of the square and the activities going on greatly enhanced our experience. It was described to us as an Italian restaurant in line with its name, but we have frequently eaten Italian food and did not find this particularly Italian at... More

Service was very good and so was the food, more specially the starters. Main course was a bit too much but still tasted good. I'll definitely go back there. Only negative, I made a booking for a window table with view of the square but seems as if noone took note of my booking.

Piccolo Mondo is the restaurant located in the Michelangelo Hotel, probably the most iconic hotel in Sandton. The food is good but very expensive. Service is good but nothing special. Overall, it is a very nice meal at a very expensive price.
