Was recommended to by fiends. Have never waited so long for food to arrive. Food order ,was food that had to be pre maid. The meat I order was so tough, how ever waited so long was not prepared to send it back. When complained no one there specially the managers seemed to give a hoot. Not worth the effort... More

We visited on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is fairly full and many tables have 'reserved' signs on them so I advise phoning ahead and reserving a table. The crowd is slightly older and families. Even though it's full it's relatively quiet and easy to talk to your company. People appear to visit to spend time with family and not... More

First visit today and won't be my last. Being a native of the Karoo the name lured us in. Very cosy and a wonderful atmosphere. The food was good and the coffee excellent. I look forward to my next visit.

Been there a few times: first time was excellent. Second time wasn't as great as the first, third time was disappointing.

We had an opportunity to visit Karoo Café last Saturday. It was a fairly cold day and after spending some time at the Terra Madre Deli learning about fermented veggies and afterword's browsing through the "Silverwoord" Antiques table shop (both a must visit) we were called by the smell of freshly grounded coffee smells coming from a building looking like a... This place, i am sorry, but it is gross. The fact that there are these enormous great danes just wandering about is horrible. Those couches for them are so hairy and disgusting. The food is just an attempt at something over the top. Never will i go there again. Rather visit a Nando's or Subway.

Great atmosphere. Good food. Experienced bad service. Some waiters seem uneducated. Explained to the one waiter that I received no service. She just stared at me.

Great atmosphere and setting. A lot of attention to detail and a well thought out yummy menu. I had the pumpkin fritters with brie, bacon and cranberry, stacked in a tower of delight, very impressive plating for breakfast. My friend ordered the hot chocolate which came with steamed milk and artisan Belgian chocolate block on a stick, melting away as... More
