Excellent eisbein and pork shoulder, crispy on the outside, tender meat. Low on character, but great for German food!
Ambience outside is a little ordinary and the inside seating rather dated and stiff ...but the food makes up for all that! Delectable German specialities with generous portions is served. You don't get to eat this sort of food which is almost 'home-cooked' in Pretoria, so this is certainly a place to keep in mind if you want to appreciate... More
When I started with the idea of a group of people meeting for a dinner, the name Eisbein & Company came up. I visited the reastaurant with my wife. We had the eisbein for super and found the food to be good. The reception were not what I would call friendly BUT I thought it may just be because it... More
After having been to the excellent German bakery and butchery just down the road from this restaurant, we thought this would be a winner for sure. What a disappointment. Over-cooked food, stuffy atmosphere, poor choice of German beer...I could go on. It was a waste of time, and money. We left as soon as we could after the forgettable meal,... More

We are two couples who annually celebrate our wedding anniversaries in a restaurant somewhere in or around Pretoria. This year we celebrated at Eisbein & Co. It was not our first visit and as always, it was once again very good. The decor is very basic, but the food is excellent and you will not easily find better German food... More
I have been visiting the Esbein & Company for many years. The quality and portion sizes have always been good. Ronald makes without a doubt the world's best eisbein - confirmed by my German friends from abroad. The sole is also outstanding - great allround experience.
I visit Eisbein & Company restaurant at least once a month and always found the food quality and service very good. The real German cuisine produced by the chef/owner is a definite "come back" factor.
One of the worst experiences i have had in a restaurant. The owner was rude and unfriendly and had major issues with two us sitting in a booth, even though the restaurant was practically empty. Atmosphere was extremely stiff and uninviting. (Will never return)
