Well managed classy Indian

It is definitely more expensive than the average Indian restaurant but setting alone makes it worth spending a night at. Fish, prawns and chiken certainly well cooked. Lamb slightly overcooked. Ingredients tasted fresh and good quality. Great advice from waiter (including on wine).

I always buy Indian food from this restaurant . The food is definitely delicious . The biryani and the curries, including the vegetarian dishes and the naan bread . I always get the same friendly service, whether I buy a takeaway or sit down at the restaurant. I always get the best service and all the people that I send... More

I certainly won't go back to Geet, as when we were there, we ordered a number of dishes, which we shared. There was hardly any meat in the meat dishes, which left us feeling ripped off, and annoyed, as the food was expensive.

This place is the real deal with authentic Indian food. The menu is so extensive that I had trouble selecting a dish. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and recommended some items. The kitchen has no problem customizing a meal for you by added or removing ingredients and this was much appreciated. There is a whole page of rice options and... More

Just had a loveky birthday supper. The foid wad suoerb and the service was great. A lot of variety on the menu. Pity they did not have our favourite wine even though it appears on their menu so we had the next best thing. The automatic 10% gratuity on the bill is a turn off and is practised by a... More

Sunday 15h00. What a disappointing lunch. Ordered starters. Generally served at other Indian restaurants with a side helping of a mint sauce or chutney. The food arrived thereafter tasteless , lack of seasoning ....... Just hot! (I would have asked for hot water rather) and yes they didn't bother of making sure we had the basic salt and pepper available... More

I feel that Geet is marketing itself as an upmarket fancy restaurant (with those prices) and extensive menu, but their establishment is shoddy - the balcony needs a good hose down, their tables are made of chip board (hmm hidden under a table cloth), the bathrooms are dirty, parts of the decor railings inside are broken, the table we sat... Celebrations for my sons graduation. Really beautiful setting. Waiter was on the ball. Good wine selection. We opted for a share meal placed in the centre of the table comprising vegetarian and meat dishes. Vegetarian is awesome. Extensive selection. Meat dishes were more like a curried stew. Quite disappointing.

We've eaten here several times and this time was no different. The owner is wonderful and always willing to help, especially with food selection from the immense menu. It's the best Indian food in Pretoria and mouthwatering. Huge wine menu and very elaborate dessert menu too. Expensive, but worth it.
