Better than a French Bistro

We had dinner 3 persons and got very good service. The wine we wanted was initially not available from the right vintage but they found a remaining bottle somewhere and it was fantastic - well done. Rump steak was perfect and risotto as well. Good deserts However, Crepe Suzettes should be flambed... read more

Being married for 43 years require a treat of ourselves. We decided on Cynthias and were not disappointed. As a start you can get save parking under roof and proper security so you don't need to be concerned about that aspect. The menu had various starters of high quality. We had Springbuck Dry Meat with a tasty sauce. Main meal... More

On the night that I was scheduled to have dinner at Cynthia's Indigo Moon, there as a blackout affecting a few areas in Pretoria. I called the restaurant to find out if they were affect and I was assured at least twice that they were "not affected at all". I didn't want to get into semantics and gave them the... More

Was there for an uncomplicated dinner with a former colleague on a Saturday night (after rugby match). The Bulls' win might have influenced the enjoyment.... the half empty room didn't bother us. Found the setting really excellent. Service was also outstsnding. We opted for game dishes. Both starters and mains were very good.

The food is nice, some times we have found that it does lack some seasoning, the service is not too bad either, wines are good...but more attention can be paid to assist with the right wine selection.

I was spoiling myself - it doesn't happen often. I went exploring and came across this cosy place. The wine list didn't have your typical names - then again I don't fine dine enough - so I chose the Ernie Els chardonnay and while they provided an entre. Main course was simple but well made, and the service staff don't... More

I've eaten here before and was impressed, but was rather disappointed this time around. The special of Rump with Chorizo and Gorgonzola sauce turned out to be Rump with Biltong shavings & Pepper sauce. All 3 in our party of 10 who ordered this special got the same thing. We didn't complain because we were guests at this business lunch... More

We recently had friends over from the UK . Our favorite restaurant was fully booked so we thought we would give them a try, Such a disappointing night out, Our hostess was dressed in some sort of leopard skin cat suit of some sort, which was totally inappropriate. when i made the reservation i informed them i would be bringing... The exterior is unremarkable but once you step inside you are in awe of the high ceiling, deep woods with bookshelves and wine bottle decor. A very lovely setting. Reception and service was very professional and friendly. They have a very extensive wine list that is reasonably priced. Starters and entrees were served in a timely, relaxed manner. The food... We had our year-end function on Friday 5 December and looked forward to a lovely wine&dine experience. We organized for a babysitter to keep our 2 children at home entertained. Unfortunately things quickly went pear-shaped: 1 waitress for a group of 22 people wanting drinks at the same time( not her fault but the manager's) We ordered food from a prebooked... More
