Amazing

This is a very romantic restaurant. The experience of going there was amazing. The food was inspired and the wine list was very good. The only down side was the price. The service was very good. I will definitely go there again.

This French restaurant doesn't have good parking, but once you are inside the atmosphere warms up. The decor is simple yet homely. The staff are very friendly and the owner personally informs you about the food selection. The food is well presented and very tasty. The prices are high but not excessive for this quality of food. Highly recommended.

We recently went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch. I have been to this restaurant before and I must say emphasize that I have never eaten the same type of food. So far, I have never been disappointed. My daughter and I had the beef starter and my other daughter had a mussels starter . My husband didn't have a... More

We have been going to La Madelein in Pretoria for many years, and since they moved to Lynnwood Ridge, our visits are more frequent. The cuisine is French Belgian, and is as close to a Michelin starred restaurant you would find in South Africa. In my opinion, it is the best restaurant in Gauteng, if not South Afirca. Daniel and... The Sunday lunch set menu is real value for money. You have a choice of some great dishes. The fish soup starter was delicious. Those that had the duck said it was real good. The wine list was outstanding and we were recommended a great wine. Will definitely be back

I have known this restaurant since it's beginnings in Esselen Street Sunnyside. We decided to visit it at it's current location in Priory Street recently. Rated as "top restaurant" we expected to experience at least what our memories of this place reminded us of. DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! It is overrated. The staff are unaccommodating bordering on clinical rudeness. You dare not move... More

If you like french - this is the ultimate restaurant for you. Closest thing to Michelin starred french cuisine you'll find south of Provence! The service is attentive and thier somelier knows his wines! You never know what's on the menu, as it changes seasonally. all the more reason to keep going back. I love La Madeleine.

I've been to La Madeleine twice. And on both occasions I've been rewarded by great staff and an excellent meal. I love fine dining and although I found the decor a bit outdated, still enjoyed the great atmosphere and true to their website the chef did come and greet us at our table. The Duck previously, was incredible and we... More

This is allegedly a top Pretoria restaurant. We were there for Sunday lunch so maybe they lay on different menus and allow substandard service at this time. The waiters were totally disinterested in us being there. The wine was given to us but we had to serve it ourselves. Which is not a problem but they never had any intention... More
