Thumbs up!

The restaurant was a little difficult to find because the sign board is small and a little hidden. We were unable to get a reservation but the owner of the restaurant was very kind and offered us a space in the lounge area. We made ourselves comfortable and had our dinner from there. Fantastic venue, wonderful food, spectacular wine list, great service - what more is there to say - we were there on a Monday and it was amazing.

The style has changed in recent years but the old favourites remain on the menu. Service can be the one downside from time to time

Been many times and will continue to go back. Love their little tapas while having some wine while deciding on mains. Ordered the almonds, olives and pickled treats to share. Perfect if you dont want a starter. The waitress recommended the ladies portion fillet (R145) which was amazing. It was prepared perfectly. The ostrich (R190) looked great too. I love... More

It was just lunch, but really a fine experience, and excellent value for an elegant place. We had the hamburgers and the salade nicoise, both very good; the rocket salad was fabulous, fresh, beautifully and lightly dressed. Unbelievable wine menu and ambience. We will go back in the evening when, I understand, it is really bustling.

If you can find parking in the village or be prepared to take a two minute stroll from an adjoining road this place is a very good secret. Admittedly i tend to stick to steaks, lunchtime they have an excellent deal r79... More

Great place to share good wine, sold by the glass. Lovely atmosphere, fabulous service and the décor adds to the experience.

The Wijnhuis is located close to the table mountain. It offers local and dishes. The menu is different day by day. The food is excellent.

After our hotel said they were not open yet, we walked past and saw it was! This was one of our favorite meals in Cape Town, with great service as well! Must try!
