First class Italian restaurant, located in a quaint small shopping centre. Decor is unpretentios and the service and food is top class. Feel free to consult waiters for recommendation, they are very knowledgable. i had a seafood pasta and my friend had a spaghetti with creamy sauce with chunks of salmon. Both delicious.

There are few places that are recommended to you, and once you visit exceed your expectations. Tortellino D'Oro is definitely one of them! If it s authentic Italian home cooking you are looking for then look no further. The pasta was delicious (although al dente), followed by creamy Gelato and Panettone. On the website the restaurant looks small, but it... More

Having been a patron of this establishment for over 20 years , i feel qualified to review it . As an authentic Italian deli ,it's without peer . As a bakery / pattiserie it produces fresh and delicious delights . As a restaurant ,for breakfast ,lunch or dinner one has to go to Tuscany for anything better . The pasta... More

We visited this restaurant twice on our recent trip to Jo'burg, and were not disappointed. I like the atmosphere f the place, and the water service is efficient and sometimes better. What really makes the place is the menu and the quality of the cuisine. Usually filled with an affluent crowd from the nearby Houghton, but despite that the atmosphere... More

My "go to" spot in JHB for authentic Italian food - simple flavors with great quality ingredients (that are worth paying a little extra for). Not the prettiest decor, but the efficient service and tasty food more than compensate. Decent Italian wine selection adds to the experience.

This is no doubt my favorite Italian dinning in JHB. We were a table of 8 and truly had great food once again.

Because we were celebrating Varsity results we took along a bottle of French champagne. Unfortunately our waitron spilled some - so it wasn't a good start. Also their corkage was ridiculously high - by comparison Café del Sol charges R80, Tortellino charged us R120. Extortion, considering that they wasted some!!!! Their food is very good but premium priced and I... More

Went there with another couple before a show although it all sounds good - essentially its just (very expensive) pasta and a R120 (Makro) bottle of wine for R280. No real atmosphere either (although we were there early to get to the theater). There are way better value options and definitely better Italian options - sorry

Fabulous service, beyond delicious food. Perfect Italian restaurant. You can never be sorry you ate here, just grateful to experience real home cooked food. Great wines, pleasant service, one of my favourite places to eat, whether on my own or with friends

The main dishes tend to be more standard and what you would expect from a good Italian restaurant... But amongst the specials and starters discover some gems: the artichokes more than worth it!
