Ate here for lunch and ve goodry

Another great local restaurant specializing in local southwestern cuisine. We ate burritos and tacos and all excellent. The menu is primarily S.W. cuisine, but hamburgers are on the menu. Good service and good surroundings. Recommend it.

got a mini something that was a sort of salad bean ground meat thing served on what looked like a giant pancake was sopopilla dough the edges to be eaten with honey. All ok except they charge $2.30 for a glass of tea. the entree cost about $9.00 and was suitable for a medium lunch.

Almost always, when the local folks pack the place you know it's got to be good. They do and it was. This is authentic Mexican cuisine based on passed down family recopies. This is not a fancy place but don't let that fool you. Tip: everything on the menu comes with either 'green' chile or 'red' enchilada sauce. If you... More

We went on a Saturday afternoon after a fantastic visit to Monument Valley, and a long hike there - so we were hungry! I had a delicious pork posole with garbanzo beans which came with wonderful light fried bread, and my son and his friend ate local enchiladas. The house salsa which came with the complimentary corn chips was particularly... More

There are very limited restaurant options in the monument valley area. The food wasn't awe inspiring but it was good and portions were large. Prices were very reasonable. Servers were friendly and though very busy, didn't leave you abandoned. They also have navajo taco and burger, which comes on frybread, if you don't want tex-mex.

First of all, when you want to have dinner at Kayenta you don't have many options. But we would like to give a huge thumbs up to this place for his warm welcoming even at our late arrival (8:58pm!!). Staff is awesome and very flexible. Sadly the food was not at the expected level. The recommended choice was average. As... More

Amigo Cafe, in Kayenta, AZ is our type of family run restaurants that we like to support. Not big on most chain restaurants. It was located right around the corner from the Hampton Inn that we were staying at. The Hampton is on route 160, turned left out of the parking lot, at light - take a left onto route... More

Was looking for a place to eat in Kayenta before going to Monument Valley. A girl at the gas station recommended this place. It looks like it could use some updating inside, but the food was good and large portions. There are not too many choices in Kayenta, so don't let the looks on the outside fool you. Good local... We stayed in Kayenta for two nights and ate there each night. As everyone says, the appearance is deceiving. The food was phenomenal. The Navajo taco is more than can be eaten. The fry bread that is the base of the taco was wonderful. One night we each had enchiladas. They were great. The salsa that came out with the... More

Traditional Mexican/navajo food. Very filling. Especially the Navajo taco. Frybread is a like a savory donut-- so delicious and so unhealthy
