Not too many places to eat in Kayenta unless you want to eat at the hotel. We stopped in right before closing and they gladly served us without rushing to get us out. The food was just ok.

We saw the billboard claiming great food and we thought skeptically, yeah right. But we came here and it is great. I had the chicken enchiladas and my wife the Navajo taco (which is HUGE). Try the Mexican food.

Great local place don't let the outside scare you away. We enjoyed the Navajo taco and chimichanga and would recommend both.

Wouldn't have gone in, based on appearances, had I not read reviews in Trip Advisor. The menu was varied and everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked great. Noticed that the crowd seemed to be all locals except for us.

Taking a quick trip through the area, we came upon Amigo Cafe. It is a simple little place but clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly. The menu was varied without being overwhelming. We got the midday special and both had cheese enchiladas with beans and rice. The plate was topped with chopped tomatoes and lettuce. Chips and salsa,... More

As my title states if you go on looks alone from the outside you probably will miss a great meal! We stopped in here recently as we were driving through. I picked this place out without checking TripAdvisor but rather just went with the fact that there were about a dozen pickups parked out front! It is a small place... More

We went here based on TA reviews. It is a very small place, somewhat dirty. We both got the Fiesta Burger with fries. The meat was not very good. It had a strange taste. My wife asked me if I thought it was actually beef. The fries were bland. Their raspberry sweet tea is great!!! The staff is very friendly.

The food was good, but the reason to go is because it is staffed by people on the reservation, and diners were also locals. I was able to talk with someone who was friendly, answered questions and discussed some aspects of life on the reservation. The look and feel of the place is totally authentic. So is the food!

We were a little hesitant to eat here - it looks a little sketchy - but we were pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent. Food tasted great. Big portions for a very reasonable price. The only downside was the local kids trying to sell beaded jewelery to you at your table. They were very polite though. Ended up giving them... More

Driving thru Kayenta we stopped at Amigo's for supper. Not fancy, the the service was quick and pleasant. As tourists definitely in the minority with the locals. Our food was served quickly, hot and fresh, by an attentive waitress. My wife had the indian taco which could have fed many. Very good. I had the special-pork with posole and frybread.... More
