The ribs are to die for..... love them, tasty and excellent value for money. The people working there are very friendly. Its a cosy place and I find the atmosphere lovely. Sometimes they are a bit busy and take longer to answer the phone.

I find this resturant very noisy and for what you get the food is very overpriced but delicious. It is a fun place for the young noisy youth to go and party.

Visited the restaurant during my visit to PE again and wasn't disappointed. The venue is deceiving as the place is rather simple but the food excellent. A limited menu with good tasting food. Will visit again when in PE

This "dive" place is in a sketchy neighborhood (but we felt reasonably safe parking our car outside) with a cult following. We had prawns and ribs, and brought our own wine. The food was very good. For "what it was" though, it seemed expensive. I know prawns are expensive, but 500 Rand for 2 with one course and BYOB in... More

This is a no-frills joint where the focus is on the food. You will have to bring your own atmosphere which most people do. The prawn is flown in fresh fro Mozambique everyday. The ribs and chorizo are best in town. Unfortunately did not have the space for the chicken.

This is a true treasure. I was blown away by this simple but brilliant concept. The food was totally out of this world. The word authentic comes to mind. The ambiance was fantastic. Good, no excellent food in a plain original unpretentious setting. Completely fantastic.

This place is not fancy, you won't have waitstaff hovering around to clear your plates and the owners have to buzz you into the gate to enter the restaurant. These are among many reasons to visit, as this place has a character of its own. Once you're in (with your own bottle of wine), the owner points you to the... More

Cubata is near the Nelson Mandela stadium and is a no frills eatery. Bring your own drinks and be prepared to share your table with strangers. The place is packed and filled with atmosphere. There is no written menu (that i saw anyway). Ribs, Chicken and monster-sized prawns are the only items available and each one is incredible. The ribs... More

Menu is limited, it's always busy, you bring your own drinks, and you sit on benches with other people just next to you. But the food is absolutely excellent, the best ribs I've ever tasted.

This place has no nonsense and no frills. It is one of those place that is just what it is. You have to book in advance, as it is very popular. Take your wine and whatnot with you. Come and park with your friends, and wait for the owner to swing by and advise your table on how many ribs... More
