Where good food and good times meet... Ideal location adjacent to the Beach Hotel and the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment Complex. The atmosphere is friendly, airy and chic, with sufficient secure parking and spectacular views of the beach. The food is a combination of the finest, fresh ingredients that in turn create subtle dishes with distinctive flavours and Eastern Cape influence. Ginger is a fusion between elegant chic and contemporary fine fare... A fresh take on fine dining. The Service is top-rated and the food is a taste bud experience.

Fabulous Food and Excellent Service

This was our first visit to Ginger and we were NOT disappointed! We enjoyed a very delicious lunch combo of calamari and fresh line fish served with home made tartar sauce, hand-made chips (to die for) and a very tasty side salad with dressing. My experience of ginger over all was good. I had phoned to tell them it was a family members birthday and therefore a special occasion. When we got there they had put Happy Birthday confetti on the table, I thought that was a nice touch. Although the waitress mixed up our drinks orders and swapped the two steaks around, the... More

Good service and lovely food. Try the carpaccio of crocodile, kuda and water hogg, steaks excellent and icecream amazing - even if we did have to move inside to avoid the thunder storm

Very disapointed with the quality of the food, and the service was sloppy and certainly not of the standard we have had before albeit some years back.

Was there yesterday. Starter Trio Carpaccio. Very good. Must be recommended. I had the graved salmon some time before which is also very good because it is very tied pressed with lot's of flavour. No salmon of the vacuum box. As a main I had a rump steak. Ordered it "rare" but got it "medium to done". That should not... More

I watch a lot of Masterchef and when I visit Ginger think that they should be cited as a place to go if you want to experience the food from Masterchef (UK) The food and wine selections are impressive and the service excellent. Unfortunately we live a 300 kilometer round trip away but we always seem to take our guest... More

So happy that Fabio is back at Ginger as it was just not the same place for me when he was not there!! Going back for lunch next week to sit on the lovely outside verandah. Sent some guests for Valentine's Dinner who reported back what a divine evening they had. See you soon

This was a lovely experience and delicious cheese platter. Enjoyed the view, even in the rain, it reminded us of being back in Phuket at the Sunset beach Hotel restaurant. Inside is a cosy style and very romantic if need be. There is something for everyone on the menu. The wine list is limited, but great quality wines. Enjoyable afternoon... More

To be frank, ginger is average. It is well located and the view is good. Unfortunately, the fine dining that Ginger claims just misses the mark. For starters I had the avocado ritz. Unfortunately, it is nothing more than a sliver of avocado and three meek prawns. This is a disgrace to the recipe and unfortunately the lack of presentation... More
