We popped in for breakfast on the second last morning of our trip... and went back the following morning as well one last time before returning home!! The decor is arty and funky, the service fast and friendly and the food was really delicious with big portions - very good value for money. It's situated in an art and craft... More

The Peppermill Cafe is ideally situated, because one can visit the Porcupine Raku Firing Centre, shop for mohair, or feed the angora goats. There are also several other craft establishments within a few metres. So we stopped there for lunch. What a treat! The food was amazing. There were fourteen of us in the group, and the friendly and efficient... More

Nice outdoor seating, chill vibe. Had breakfast and lunch here during our stopover in Plettenburg. All of the dishes are fresh and flavorful. Claude, our server was so nice and helpful with making recommendations. The veggie burger is a very unique and yummy choice. Be sure to check out the Porcupine Factory next door to see hand crafted goods.

This was my second visit, and I will be back for more!. The service is good, the food absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere excellent. The burgers has to be some of the best I have ever had. The place is kids friendly, and if you have little ones, the are going to love feeding the goats. A must for all... More

We always make a point of visiting the Mohair Mill "Mall". After all, what is a trip to The Crags without a piece of Porcupine Ceramic and a trip to Birds of Eden.We had vsitors fro the USA and between visits to Birds and Monkeyland we had lunch at Peppermill TWICE. The kids menu is very well designed and we... More

What an unexpectedly good surprise. On our way to the Elephant Sanctuary we thought we would stop off for a drink and a light meal. The Mexican salad and the Mexican burger were excellent. The portions were enormous and the service was great. Definitely worth a visit.

Good place to have a drink, especially when you are with children. There is a playground, there are angora goats to pet and feed. There are some souvenir shops, and seriously, they do have very nice stuff!!

After reading the reviews, we decided to try their chocolate cake since it was voted the best in SA by Cosmopolitan. I was highly disappointed when my tiny slice arrived. It was so moist I could squeeze the water out the cake on my plate and in the process it lost all its flavour. I was busy eating a soggy... More

Nick Donegan and his wife May own The Peppermill Cafe and The Blue Monkey Cafe inside Monkeyland (the primate sanctuary nearby). Nick was trained as a chef abroad. His cooking style is eclectic, he plates beautifully, his menu is diverse, and there are interesting choices for all. Nick has won awards for his famous chocolate cake. I have had this... More
