SeaFood at The Plettenberg combines an array of elements to create an unsurpassed dining experience. The sand, beach and sea have been brought into the restaurant in the colours, mood and design. Unrivalled views of the breath-taking Formosa Bay are complimented by the decor, and together they create the perfect platform for the SeaFood cuisine. Here the chefs create modern South African fare that is seasonally influenced. The menu - designed by The Collection's award-winning Executive Chef Peter Tempelhoff and his team - places great emphasis on fresh produce from local green-friendly suppliers and this gives SeaFood at The Plettenberg the unique ability to showcase a true taste of the bay.

Great food, service and views. Buzzy and happening. Definitely worth a visit.

Returning to The Plettenburg after an 18 year gap, little has changed, not that it needed to. The fresh decor and sliding doors on to the terrace by the infinity view all add to a sumptuous experience, although the view is east rather than into the sunset and anyway it was overcast and... read more

Returning to The Plettenburg after an 18 year gap, little has changed, not that it needed to. The fresh decor and sliding doors on to the terrace by the infinity view all add to a sumptuous experience, although the view is east rather than into the sunset and anyway it was overcast and drizzling, hardly The Plett's fault! Had assumed that it would be too expensive to eat here having seen the room rate (rooms start at c £277 a night) but having been advised otherwise we decided to give it a go. Of our 4 days in Plett they only had a table on the first (a Wednesday) so if you do want to go it is... More

We ate at the Seafood Restaurant three times during our recent stay in Plettenberg Bay. We absolutely loved the choice of excellent food and wine, outstanding service and in such a wonderful location. In our opinion, the prices were extremely good for such excellent cuisine. My favourite dinner included the crispy duck and the amazing creme brûlée. Both outstanding. Thank... More

For SA-standards slightly expensive, but what you get back in return is fenomal. 5-star dining (coctail, shared Oysters as starter and assortiment of creme brulés for dessert, bottle of really good wine and 2 mains) for approx 850 ZAR.

We were staying in the Plettenberg and tended to eat most our meals at Seafood. They were always delicious and very reasonable.

6 tourists stayed at the hotel and had an eve meal in the restaurant. Great food, excellent friendly service, stunning views and a good choice of wine. Very fair price, by UK / European standards.

A beautiful restaurant in a magnificent hotel. Clean cut design of glass & marble with a few African seaside features strategically placed. Very pleasant bar area with wide selection of sundowners. Both terrace and inside tables available with the breeze, rather than temperature making us choose inside, but the views of the bay were unrestricted through the glass walls. A... More

A pleasant experience for my daughter's birthday - a delicate and tasty set of tea treats with a magnificent view. We did wonder about the time we were advised on which made it more of a finger lunch. Will return for future birthdays.
