Located in the Jerome grand hotel .it was a hospital for tb patients . Converted and renovated to the hotel and restaurant. Food and service was excellent . Great choices on the menu . Great place to stop on your way to sedona /flagstaff or back to Scottsdale .

Wandered up to The Asylum for lunch on a quiet Thursday afternoon. Sat at the bar and had the garden sandwich with French fries. The sandwich was a generous medley of fresh vegetables, cream cheese and avocado on delicious marbled rye bread. The fries were freshly cut real potatoes, not the frozen packaged stuff you get in most places these... More

We have been dining at the Asylum for over a decade and we are residents of Jerome. We have always had a wonderful time! Something that always displeases with with other "so called" fine dining restaurants is that we feel as though we are in a factory. Before we even finish our salads the main course is delivered! We don't... More

My husband and I had heard so much about the Asylum that we were excited to have a nice dinner. Had reservations but weren't able to sit next to the window, oh well...could still see out the window and the view was awesome. Wish the food had been! Service was not that great, when the food was brought out and... More

We stopped by the Asylum for lunch on a stormy afternoon. We sat on the patio (the views are outstanding) and watched a storm roll in over the valley. That alone was worth it. Service was quite good and attentive. I ordered the spicy squash soup (delicious!). The bread on the side was a little hard though. I also had... More

We went there for drinks as we were in between lunch and dinner with few choices on the menu. This is another historic Jerome building, a former psychiatric hospital. We rode in a very neat elevator from the first floor to the second where the restaurant is. You have to pull a gate to close the door. The views from... More

We recently took some local Jerome friends to your restaurant for dinner. They had not dined here for a couple years due to past poor service, and hence were not disappointed to receive more poor service this time. The food was well-presented and very good, although the menu items have not changed in all the years we have been coming... More

The views of Jerome and the mountain and valley below are breathtaking. And the food very good! The prices are high, but the food is tasty, and presented nicely.

don't listen to them when they say it's fresh caught. It was obviously frozen, microwaved, and then grilled. They slather it with bbq sauce and give you luke warm sides.

A bit pricey with a limited menu but good food. We started with a wonderful bruschetta, then salad and I shared a sea bass with my friend. My husband had the rubbed pork tenderloins which he said was great; our other friend had the strip steak which was not cooked to his liking (underdone). We finished with the icecream and... More
