My friend and I went to this place on our way in to Sedona after flying in to Phoenix from CA and NJ. We had a fabulous lunch (vegetarian sandwiches) looking out the window at the majestic mountains and our server Kevin was awesome. This was our first visit to the area and he told us all about the best... More

We did a day trip from Phoenix up to Jerome with Friends from Phoenix. 1st time we ever had Artichokes….wow ...We made them when we got home and turned out great. Lunch sandwich at the window seat overlooking the amazing Valley with a nice cool beverage. Top notch….The History of an abandon mining town [copper] re populated by hippies and... More

During our visit to Sedona back in October, we also made a trip here to Jerome and followed the recommendation of a friend to have lunch at "The Asylum." We are glad we did, as it was wonderful and fun. As we came towards the end of October, the whole restaurant was decorated in a Halloween theme, to include the... More

It takes some effort to get to The Asylum - narrow, one way road - but you are rewarded with a fantastic view, which is pretty much the view you get from Jerome no matter where you are. We were disappointed because we had heard that the food was great. To us it was only average. The butternut squash soup... More

Delicious burger, lunch on the porch, incredible view from Cleopatra Hill, awesome service, and even the water was the best I tasted! This restaurant has an incredible wine cellar, tastings, and an amazing menu. Late afternoon ghost tours too! Do it up right, enjoy the view, the artsy town, the wonderful people and a night in a haunted hotel.

My wife and I spent an afternoon in Jerome after doing some winetasting and stopped at The Asylum for lunch, which sits at the high point of the town. The restaurant is located in a building that used to be a hospital and now also houses a hotel. The restaurant has great views over the town and valley below. We... More

The Asylum restaurant is located in the Jerome Grand Hotel which was an asylum that had been closed up for years until they converted it to a hotel, which is still a work in progress and the Asylum restaurant which is fully operational. It is well worth a visit to see the old hotel while you dine in the restaurant.... More

We stopped by for lunch the day after Thanksgiving. There was a small wait. We enjoyed drinks on the patio while we waited for our today. Our lunches were all excellent. Our son had a juicy hamburger, my husband had a pastrami sandwich and I had a salad with grilled chicken. There wasn't a bite left on our plates! Everything... More

While the food was just ok, it's a great and different experience. The atmosphere is spooky and the view is spectacular. The waiters are super engaging and know lots of crazy ghost stories from the hotel. It was fun and worth the time although think its best for a drink or dessert than a full meal as I was not... Quality, Service, & Overall Presentation align well with cost & tip. We will return again when visiting the interesting town of Jerome. The walk up to the restaurant and view from the front patio overlooking the entire town added to the overall eating experience…
