Came with friends traveling through Arizona. One night in Jerome. Went based on reviews with a party of 12, with very different tastes. Staff was very accommodating, perhaps because it was a weeknight, but have no idea what the regular ebb and flow of business is in Jerome. Food and service were exceptional. Pumpkin soup lived up to its advance... More

We got there right before they closed lunch to ready the kitchen for dinner, but they seated us anyway and brought us some very good food. I had a boiled artichoke and it was delicious. My sister raved about her burger and my other sister savored her butternut squash soup. The dessert choices were wonderful too. We sat next to... More

Amazing views and great service! The butternut squash soup is THE BEST!!! I had the special which was amazing and my husband had the prickly pear pork tenderloin which he LOVED. Grab a bottle of wine and enjoy the scenery.

I stopped in here to get some soup and to hang out with my favorite bartender James, soup was fantastic and I was greeted very warmly by manager Diane.

This is our 3rd trip to The Asylum for lunch and specifically to savor their signature butternut squash jalapeno soup. We got the mesquite BLT's, too, and were lucky enough to get there early to snag a front open window seat with the best view of the valley. Heavenly! Would love to try dinner some time. No regrets ever, the... More

Saturday night we took our out of town friends to the Asylum for dinner. We have been dining there for years and had wonderful experiences. The food was marvelous and so was the wait staff. We were surprised by our experience with a new face because it was not the cozy warm quality we remembered having in the past. The... More

With being a regular for both lunch and dinner (at least once a week), the atmosphere has change dramatically in the last 4 weeks. There is a couple of new people that have started working there who appear to be self important. In particular one individual...can't quite tell if she is a hostess, server, or a manager? None the less,... More

This is another of the Jerome eateries which survives on its views. The food is pedestrian at best, at least at lunch, the only meal we had there. The atmosphere on the deck outside (because we got the shade) was wonderful on a hot day. Hamburgers, hamburgers, hamburgers. It's a shame the Southwest can't provide much more.

And since you can get the view without eating.... The food at the Asylum is not bad, just average and unmemorable. There are better places to eat in Jerome. Visit the hotel for the drive out, walk around. Eat elsewhere.

The view alone is worth the trip. Customer service is great, enjoyed an awesome conversation with Jeff a busser at the restaurant, what a great attitude!! Food was very good. Wish we could've spent more time there!
