We came here on a whim to stay at one of the most haunted places in the country. Not only were we greeted by Chris, who quickly became our buddy, but James the bartender took really good care of us. Justin, the chef, made amazing food and all of these gentlemen seriously MADE our trip pretty much the best ever.... More

Enjoy good food and drink with a view of the valley 1500 feet below. Window tables are scarce and for dinner you will need to be there at 5:00 PM. Reservations suggested. We enjoyed both lunch and dinner at this fine restaurant. it doesn't hurt to be a guest at the hotel if you are particular where you sit.

On the recommendation of our innkeeper in Sedona, we stopped for lunch at The Asylum Restaurant located in the Grand Hotel in Jerome. It turned out to be a nice choice for not only the food, but the views of the community as well. My husband ordered the turkey sandwich and I ordered something called "The Stack," which was a... Surly waiter until tip time then very friendly. Long wait for food. Quality & quantity vs value; poor! I will not recooked this to my AZ friends.

My dining experience was simply superb! From the moment our waiter, Michael, greeted us to the last bite of our delicious meal, we were treated to what has become one of my favorite dining experiences in northern Arizona. The location of The Asylum Restaurant is the Grand Hotel, formerly a hospital for the mining town of Jerome, Arizona. The views... More

A friend took me to Jerome, AZ, a very thrilling artist colony location perched on a mountain. Getting up there is half the fun, luckily we had missed the snow! Stopped at The Asylum for lunch, had a table near the window to enjoy the view. Very good wine list was presented, showing several Arizona wines. The restaurant had recently... More

High above the city of Jerome is the asylum restaurant which in its former life was a hospital. The hospital is now a hotel and restaurant. You arrive at this location after a tough climb from the bottom level of Jerome. You can see the Frisco Mtns and the Red Rocks of Sedona from the porch. The food was excellent... More

This was absolutely the coolest restaurant I visited while traveling through Arizona from Florida. Jerome is such a neat town, and is picture perfect of what I picture when thinking of the "OLD WEST". Service and food was perfect!!!

Michaels suggestions: awesome. Made a meal of appetizers and libations, breathtaking view. Love it! Fun atmosphere, creative menu and staff. A little off the beaten path in Jerome but just ask- everyone can tell you how to wind up the hill to the al fresco dining. Ate outside on a gorgeous day ( oh, that's right- they are all gorgeous...
