The Asylum in Jerome

Hi there fellow travelers, MrEasy724 here, hope this summer finds everyone well and ready to travel. I’ve been rather quiet of late, but I’m baaaaaaaaacccccck! Just recently I visited some friends in Prescott, Arizona, which is a lovely little city in itself and this was actually my second time... read more

Although I have lived in the area for 18 years, I had never been to The Asylum. I am very happy that I ventured up to Jerome for dinner. Set in an old hospital (the bedpan at the check-in table could go), this was a great meal. Lisa, our server, made the evening. Our meal was excellent. The included salad,... More

We were in Jerome & thought it would be fun to eat at a place called the Asylum. The food was amazing & the waitstaff was very friendly! Ask to sit at the window if you can, the view was amazing! It is up on the hill in the Jerome a Grand Hotel.

Went their for dinner. It is located in an old hospital from the mining years and is now a hotel and restaurant. The staff is friendly and answer all your questions about the history of the building and town. We sat by the open window and had a great view of the town of Jerome. Access is by a single... More

This was the best meal we had while touring Arizona! The duck breast was exceptional, and the soup phenominal! We sat by an open window, with a spectacular view. Do not miss this unique restaurant!!

We ate lunch at The Asylum one afternoon. The food was well plated, very tasty, and fresh. The staff were friendly and obviously not in a hurry to get you in and out of the restaurant. Great experience if you're not in a hurry to eat. Oh, and the Screaming Bloody Mary is amazing, just don't eat the spicy pickle... More

One might not expect to find fine dining in Jerome, but here it is. A diverse menu of American dining fare, reasonably well executed. Overall, a good choice if you are staying at the hotel, or are looking for a fine dining experience in or around Jerome.

When you visit Jerome, AZ (art, 'bikers', hippies, mining history) do go up the steep hill to the Asylum. The panorama view of the Verde Valley is stunning (two window tables inside, but good views abound, and outside seating is available). My wife's sea bass was excellent and my special of filet mignon tidbits on spinach pasta with superb sauces... More

The staff were incredibly helpful offering a taste of several wines before I chose. The menu was exciting and innovative and the food cooked perfectly. The soup was an excellent choice. We were lucky enough to be given a window table with exceptional views of Jerome. This was well worth every penny. Thankyou

We stayed in the hotel attached and had a beautiful dinner in the restaurant. The soup entree was amazing, I'll be making that back home. Vegetables were fresh and the service was great. Would definitely return. Thanks Jerome!
