I stopped in here to get some soup and to hang out with my favorite bartender James, soup was fantastic and I was greeted very warmly by manager Diane.

This is our 3rd trip to The Asylum for lunch and specifically to savor their signature butternut squash jalapeno soup. We got the mesquite BLT's, too, and were lucky enough to get there early to snag a front open window seat with the best view of the valley. Heavenly! Would love to try dinner some time. No regrets ever, the... More

Saturday night we took our out of town friends to the Asylum for dinner. We have been dining there for years and had wonderful experiences. The food was marvelous and so was the wait staff. We were surprised by our experience with a new face because it was not the cozy warm quality we remembered having in the past. The... More

With being a regular for both lunch and dinner (at least once a week), the atmosphere has change dramatically in the last 4 weeks. There is a couple of new people that have started working there who appear to be self important. In particular one individual...can't quite tell if she is a hostess, server, or a manager? None the less,... More

This is another of the Jerome eateries which survives on its views. The food is pedestrian at best, at least at lunch, the only meal we had there. The atmosphere on the deck outside (because we got the shade) was wonderful on a hot day. Hamburgers, hamburgers, hamburgers. It's a shame the Southwest can't provide much more.

And since you can get the view without eating.... The food at the Asylum is not bad, just average and unmemorable. There are better places to eat in Jerome. Visit the hotel for the drive out, walk around. Eat elsewhere.

The view alone is worth the trip. Customer service is great, enjoyed an awesome conversation with Jeff a busser at the restaurant, what a great attitude!! Food was very good. Wish we could've spent more time there!

Our recent lunch at the Asylum was a complete disappointment. The hostess was alternately helpful and then rude. We sat outside to better enjoy the view and the entire meal was disrupted with noise made by maintenance crews. The waiter told me the calamari salad I ordered would be served with the dressing on the side. Instead it was covered... More

The food was excellent. Getting seated was difficult as there was a wait. We set in the bar and that was sufficient. The bar tender worked hard to serve us and manage the bar. The cook must be really good because the food was phenomenal. The Jerome Grand Hotel where the restaurant is located is supposedly haunted so that aura... More

Located in the Jerome grand hotel .it was a hospital for tb patients . Converted and renovated to the hotel and restaurant. Food and service was excellent . Great choices on the menu . Great place to stop on your way to sedona /flagstaff or back to Scottsdale .
