Good time at El Rancho Restaurant

We had six in our group, so sat at a large table in the bar area for dinner. It was a cozy, colorful room with fun, eclectic knick-knacks up on shelves (even an Elvis figurine!). Awesome margaritas and reasonably priced Mexican dinner selections. We enjoyed our time here.

Maybe I just don't know what authentic Mexican food is supposed to taste like but this place did not meet my families expectations. The staff actually looked at us as if we were an unwelcome event to be endured. I don't know if everyone was fighting in the kitchen or what but they gave off some serious negative vibes. As... Ok things may have changed since 2004. I ate here after a stop on trip to the Grand Canyon. I had a Chimichanga that was excellent. It was more of a Tex-Mex place than authentic Mexican, but like I said my Chimichanga was wonderful. My only negative comment was there was no Mexican beer on the menu. This was in... More

Stopped in for dinner on a Sunday evening. The salad bar items were almost depleted and no one could seem to figure out how or when it would be replenished. I was excited to try the Navajo taco but it turned out to be rather underwhelming. The rest of our food was rather average Tex-Mex fare.

My husband and I ate here while visiting. The food was not good at all. I had a green chili burro and a red enchilada and my husband had a red chimi. If you do go here order the red chili.

I was directed to El Rancho late one evening by a friend at the local fairgrounds. He sure steered me right! This is a very nice, friendly informal place with good food served fast. I went back again on my return trip and everything was equally pleasant. I plan to make this a regular stop when I'm lucky enough to... More

We were very disappointed with our meal here. We visited as a family of 7 while travelling Route 66. We shared some appetisers which were ok, but looked like frozen food that had been deep fried. The salad bar was very poorly stocked. My daughter had ordered unlimited salad bar as her dinner and had very little choice, really poor... More

Don't let Veronica serve you!! It's Mother's Day, we drive to Holbrook for a one-day trip from the Valley to surprise our mom and take her out to eat. We were a party of 13. Our waitress, Veronica wasn't friendly from the get-go, took our order but no silverwares, ignored us for 20-30 minutes NOT stopping once to check on... More

We stayed at the Wig Wam Motel nearby and were sent here by the desk clerk. It was fairly late at night and we were greeted warmed and promptly served very good Mexican food.
